Is the sale seniority based? My buddy who has STs says he got a letter that says they go on sale Aug 26.

my letter said the 26th as well.

edit: I see it is prioity now based on tenure. since I have only had season tix for 3 years in a row now(I had partials before that and seasons a bunch of years ago), I guess I have to wait.

wow they have alot of balls charging those ticket prices, I dont think any of the other outdoor games had that high of prices, I think it will sell out, but tickets will not go for that much more then the face on the aftermarket, except for those $79, $119, $149 which will probably go for around $200

roughly the same price as the winter classic tickets in philly... they'll sell out. and yes, tickets will go for much more than the face on the aftermarket, you're forgetting how many ranger fans want to go

There are no ticket passwords to be given. If someone gave you their password they would be giving you the keys to their entire season ticket account.

It's the same password that you use to log into your account, only they created a special log in page for it to buy the Stadium Series tickets:
https://oss.ticketmaster.com/aps/nhl.../account/login

The New York Islanders® are excited to play in the 2014 Coors Light NHL Stadium Series™ at Yankee Stadium. The iconic stadium that has hosted many historic events is now set to lay the ice down for John Tavares and the New York Islanders® to take on their biggest rival, the New York Rangers® on Wednesday, Jan. 29 at 7:30 p.m. As an Islanders® Season Subscriber, you will receive exclusive access to a limited allotment of tickets, starting on Monday, August 26 at 10 a.m.

You should have received in the mail the letter below. It breaks down all of the important information you need to purchase tickets for this once in a lifetime event. If you have any questions, feel free to contact the Islanders® Customer Service Department at 1-800-882-ISLES ext. 2 or email customerservice@newyorkislanders.com.

-----

Dear Season Ticket Holder,

The historic rivalry between the New York Islanders® and New York Rangers® is one of the most heated in all of sports. On Wednesday, Jan. 29, 2014, at 7:30 p.m., both teams will turn the heat up on a cold winter night, as they take the rivalry outdoors in the 2014 Coors Light NHL Stadium Series™ at Yankee Stadium.

Your loyalty to the organization as an Islanders® season subscriber allows you to receive exclusive ticket access to see Hart Memorial Trophy (league MVP) finalist John Tavares and the New York Islanders® take the ice at Yankee Stadium. On August 26 at 10 a.m., season subscribers like yourself who joined the Islanders® family after 1999, will have the ability to purchase tickets from the Islanders LIMITED ALLOTMENT for this once in a lifetime experience, under the lights at Yankee Stadium. You will have one week priority to order your tickets before they’re also made available to the next group of season subscribers.

For each lower level seat you have purchased in your season ticket package, you’re entitled to buy three (3) outdoor game tickets. Upper level seat holders will have the ability to purchase two (2) outdoor game tickets for each seat in their account.

To purchase your tickets for this exciting event, you can log onto your Account Manager profile. To access your profile, visit www.newyorkislanders.com/stadiumseries where there will be instructions on how to purchase your seats, beginning August 26. The outdoor game tickets, subject to availability, will be available through September 14. Remember, our allocation is limited, so do not hesitate.

There is no better time to be an Islanders® Season Subscriber and witness the Orange & Blue shift New York hockey’s power back to Long Island. If you have further questions or need more information, please contact customer service at 1-800-882-ISLES ext. 2 or email customerservice@newyorkislanders.com.

We look forward to seeing you when the puck drops opening night, October 5 against the Columbus Blue Jackets®.

Sincerely,

Ralph Sellitti
Vice President of Ticket Sales

That is correct, Season Ticket Holders who share their account information are basically giving away their tickets. Please don't ask for a "ticket password".

I believe those who have ST prior to 99 can already purchase tickets. Those after 99 can get their dibs Monday at 10. Public sale is much after that.

Season subscribers have the right to buy extras. What about our own seats? How do we know where they will be located?

If someone can get me two tickets anywhere in the section marked $229 from section 426-432A or 414-408 I can give you the money right away. Please if you are a season ticket holder and are not planning on going to the game, please help us others out.

These tickets are going to easily be going for double face value on the secondary market.

When it first got announced that this game was going to be on a Wednesday night, I had a small bit of hope this game would be on NBC instead of NBCSN. It would've been, to my knowledge, the first regular season game on NBC to air on a weekday that wasn't a holiday. Would've been cool to really get the Isles on national TV in prime time. I knew it was just a pipe dream though, they'll probably have some TV show that will draw better ratings, but it stinks to be the only US outdoor game getting stuck on NBCSN instead of NBC.

is there going to be an Alumni game for this?

I can picture them having 1 Alumni game but a mix between the Devils and Islanders and Rangers, I am not sure how they are going to split the teams
