I guess my GF's mom was right. Her co-workers at the General treated him. Facial injuries weren't major enough to keep him off the ice...only thing stopping him was the concussion symptoms.

Hey guys, sens fan coming in peace. Do any of you know when the Habs are practicing today? Trying to see what the injury situation is. I wanna place a bet and need to know some details.

Merci

Team just announced Gionta is done for the season will undergo surgery friday,
Eller skated alone this morning but we aren't expecting him back tomorrow, probably not this series
Pacioretty/White day-to-day
No word on Price, not looking good

Cassie Campbell ‏@CassieCampbell 41s Gionta will undergo bicep surgery on Friday and obviously done for the season @hockeynight This was initially reported by @KevinWeekes

We should ship him out of town. Guys who play with torn muscles and too selfish to play for the team.

Thank you! Could you imagine if Eller plays in Game 5? Man he would be a legend to any team after taking that hit. Hopefully he doesnt have any lingering effects.

Nah, it's because he's overpaid, old, injury prone, small, and not good enough to be playing the 1st line role he's in on the Habs. We're better off with another 3rd liner like Prust IMO.

Gio and Prust are reasons I ****ing love this team and will never write them off. Warriors true to the definition of the word.

It's very concerning that he tore his other biceps (second time he's torn one). Maybe his body has had enough. It's taken a ton of abuse over the years because of his playing style. A concern for Gallagher down the line?

Does anyone have an update on Price's situation? I've been trying to find out about his condition but haven't found anything yet.

According to Stubbs' tweet last night it looked unlikely that he'd be ready for tomorrow, but there was supposed to be an update today and I've yet to hear one.

I think it's more than safe to write him off for the start next game, IMO.

Peter better be ready to go.

Luckily, Budes can be clutch. We need support from the team.

Why did Management let Gio play? Same with Prust.. they are not effective like that...

Gionta has taken a lot of abuse in his career, he could be breaking down for good.

He might consider taking his time with this one.

The Habs are still a better team with him in the lineup. I don't think he's that overpaid. As with all UFA's you pay a premium to get him to your team. The difference between his production and cap hit is not big enough to just "dump him". Leadership + goals plus strong defensive play.

Worst situation for him to be thrown in, ever. Horrible.

Because those guys will do whatever it takes to play and win. We need more players like them. It sucks, but I am so ****ing proud the fact we have warriors on our team.

That's what I thought last year...the fact it's happened again...I don't know what kind of player he can be when he returns. The effort will always be there, but what about his skillset?

There should be Prust+Price info soon, there was no practice for the regulars today, only a stretch at 1 PM apparently with media availability after.

Talk about injuries... Prust, Eller, Price, Gionta, Pacioretty, Emelin, even Gallagher, Bourque and Diaz with concussions. Almost every one of our top forwards, our number 1 goalie and our most physical players. Bad news

But they still ended up to have negative impact on their team. (Not for Prust, but Gio.)
