Oh but lest we forget he has amazing vision. Get your damn blinders off already, is he an asset? Sure. PP Specialist on a team like Vancouver, perfect role. That said any team with that guy, playing him the minutes that we do in a top 6 role wont make it anywhere. Period. Defense wins championships, heart wins championships but most of all balls wins championships. 0/3.

Oh and for those who think that this is because his *slump*. To me he has been in a slump ever since he got here. I dont see the love of this guy, I really really dont.

So he less of an impact he was last year, i'm well aware of that and i don't know when he will wake up and revert to his real style cus he's floating around making basics pass and don,t do the play that impress me by his originality like last year.

But i can say pretty much the same with Pacioretty tbh, it's amazing how this year they cumulate lazy points instead of working for them like last year.
Instead of gritting it and overloading the opponent they pretty much doing a telegraphied and predictable play hoping it will go in.

But he's not half as bad as ppl trying to describe him tho, he's still a legit nhl player that seem in a slump but able to manage his share of point to not be a nuisance in the long run, he just not having as much as an impact as he could do.
Agreed on all points. I trust his performance over 82 games more so than one over 48. So I'm patient and we'll see next year. Hopefully he shows some good play in the playoffs. We need EVERYBODY on same page.

I like DD too. We all know he's got to improve but I'm not gonna cry about it after half a season of less than ideal play.

Name me another 5'6" center who got 60 points first. Then we'll have a comparable no?

I wonder if they gave Price 6.5 for 6 years because he's French too.

DD is rated the 6th best bargain player by capgeek.

His deal is only for 3.5M. Jeff freaking Finger was signed to the same deal.
Kovalchuk is signed until the armageddon. Luongo was signed to a huge deal as well and is a back up goalie now.

DD is signed to a 3.5M deal that expires in 4 years and he'll still put up about 50pts in a season. Ya, who in their right mind would want to give such a horrible and crippling contract..

You should take the NHL out of your name and apply it to yourself.

Actually, there are many 5'6" centers with 60 points:

Crosby
Malkin
Giroux
Stamkos
Teows

All scored 60 points plus when they played PEE WEE.

Just checking if anyone will mention Galchenyuk's pass to opposing d in our own zone. Eller thinking he's Lemieux and turning it over. Probably not, all that matters is that DD lost puck on PP.

I usually don't bring it up but c'mon. The alternatives aren't perfect either but I don't hear ****.

Desharnais c'mon bro, where's that feisty and courageous play you showed us last year.

He used to dodge hits all the time and had some very good balance. He's struggled with both aspects this year and it seems to affect everything else.

If a tree falls in a forest and everyone is around to hear it, but it was cut down by Eller, does it make a sound?

All he's saying is there's only two players who get hate on so much they have their own threads for basically the last two months, always in the top 5 or 10 topics.

Price and Desharnais.

They are, apparently, the only reason we lose hockey games.
