The Amazing:

- Fan and player unity. Saw a few Sabres shirts with Bruins logo patches on the front shoulder, very classy.
- Pre- and post-game. Great displays.
- The fans were awesome. Loved the "Let's go Boston" chant that replaced the usual one for most of the night

The Good:

- Paille
- Kelly
- Ference
- Kaleta
- Vanek finally looked like himself
- Porter
- Miller
- Ott
- Weber
- The young'ins on D
- 2 PP goals in a must-win game against a top 3 PK

The Bad:

- Jagr attempting the Volchenkov-Marchand on Kaleta
- Lucic is snakebitten worse than Stafford
- Ehrhoff with a rare bad night defensively
- Sekera wasn't too hot, either

The Ugly:

Nothing. Tonight was a perfect example of the power of sport to lift a city's spirits, if only for a few hours. I haven't enjoyed a single game this season more than tonight's.

Where are they slotted for the draft pick now? This season is turning into the absolute worst possible scenario.

They'd pick #10 right now. No elite player for us.

**** this

If we pick 10th I want to move into the top 5

We have all the assets, need to make the move now. I honestly think we are set with our prospects as of right now

Seeing Vanek in the good has me curious. The guy is half speed, can't pass for ****, gives up on plays and gets too easily frustrated. Still produces, though... I get it. But lets analyze beyond the stat sheet.

Did Ott play in the second period? Seemed to get shorted a bit.

And can we end the forward-at-the-PP-point thing, please? Nice to see them try a 1-3-1 for a little, but a stafford up top is ridiculously insane.

Cheers to Boston. Great atmosphere. Stay strong. Great job with the anthem.

He scored the first goal and directly created the second. He was the primary agent of both Sabre goals.

I get that. And I don't discount it. But he was tough to watch (IME at least) for the entire game outside of those two highlights.

He and Hodgson were out of it.

That's fair, but such vital contribution merits a G from me. He and Miller won the game.

I thought Vanek was the only thing holding that line together. 19 and 63 were a train wreck.

10th. If PHX doesn't get a point in St. Louis on Thursday night, we will be picking 11th.

Great to hear, I'll see if I can catch the game later.

Ott has a '5 questions' on NHL.com and said something interesting.

Quote:
You guys have won two in a row since and allowed only one goal in the process. What's changed, and do you think your comment had an impact?

"All of us, we had a closed door meeting as a team and we discussed how to finish out the season with a lot of pride and obviously try to sneak into a playoff spot if we can, but really try to take care of what we have to over the last six or seven games.
I like the fact that for them it's not solely about making the playoffs, it's about playing with pride and playing hard, like Colorado after Jiggy's comments. Thats the attitude I want in a young team.

I'm sorry, did you just criticize Vanek's passing? He is one of the, if not the best passer on the team. One of the better ones in the league I would say. If you look beyond that stat sheet, it's all the more reason to keep Vanek.

Looks like we have fallen back to the 11th pick now, so:

1st - 1.5% chance
11th - 96.1% chance
12th - 2.4% chance

More importantly, when Myers went down.

We somewhat control our fate, games against Winnipeg and Rangers are both must wins. Of course these trolls will find a way to troll us somehow.

I just hope the way they troll us is by making the playoffs, but they might troll me on that too.

How does Rolston fix Hodgson?

He hasn't looked right for more than a month.
