I am 100% against trading Lucic, because it's a monumentally ****ing stupid idea, but he really needs time on the Merlot to get his North/South game back.

I figured he'd be hitting non-stop tonight and I don't think he even registered one. Not a good start. He needs to hit, fight, forcheck, and do what got him to the NHL.

When we are down 2-0 in the playoffs, the those who refuses to criticize the team no matter what, wil clearly see why we are down on them. I don't care if we went to OT or clinched a playoff spot, if this was a playoff game, we lost.

Imagine if we didn't blow leads against the pens twice, habs, this game, we would have been leading the Eastern Conference now.

Nobody was hitting non-stop tonight. Nobody ever hits non-stop like they used to.

My honest reaction during the game: the Bs are playing well tonight.

The passing was crisper and their skating was better than it has been in the past several games.

  • Chris Kelly seems to have turned the corner.
  • Although Lucic was held shotless he looked a tad better.
  • Nate looked a bit better too.
  • More emotion, I think the whole Scott/Shawn thing is wearing off.
  • Jagr looks uncontainable against anyone not prepared to deal with him. Makes you appreciate what Hal Gil did when Jagr was in his prime.

Miller comes up a bit bigger than Dobby. Tough call on Ference it's not as if he was even shooting it, just batting it. Goes to a shootout and you have give the Sabres the nod with the hands on that team. It happens, just not great timing considering the previous events of the week.

I felt better about this loss more than most of our wins in the last few weeks.
I agree. Most of the line combinations were new and there did seem to be a lack of chemistry.Campbell worked hard tonight but I don't think he should play with those two.Perhaps on Friday,Soderberg could play with Jagr and Krejci and Campbell could play on one of the other lines.

Seeing the likes of Kaleta and Ott with their mock stick salute at the end of the game is salt in the wounds. If anything, the Bruins should have used that visual as motivation in this game.

I bet they got a ****ing kick out of that in the end, ****ing ********.

Another nugget......Apparently the were close to a major trade at the deadline involving Looch. (Not sure with what team) and ownership nixed it because of Looch's commercial appeal. Neely was pissed and threatened to quit, but everyone calmed down. Expect Looch to be traded in the offseason. He wants to raise his kid near his parents and he's emotionally checked out.

Do you have a source for this news about Lucic and Neely?

Perhaps all of that is true, but I believe valid sources are required here for statements like those. Have you contacted a moderator who can clear that your source is valid?

We're in first on a technicality right now, even you have to admit they are not playing like a first place team. I have faith, but it's predicated on certain things turning around quick.

That picture of both teams saluting the fans at the end of the game is why hockey is the greatest game of all.

Nope. A spirited game would have.

I said to my friend, halfway through, "it isn't about winning, it is about pride."

So much for that.

I don't know. I guess I just have a hard time being this outraged over a hockey game on a day like this. Yeah, they probably should have won the game, and a few guys no-showed yet again. Can we take a break from it for a day.

Life's too short to be pissed off all the time.

Uh no? If this was a playoff game, we would have been able to play out the rest of that PP.

Yeah, Kaleta, Ott, Scott, and Miller, raising their sticks in a mock salute after a game full of 7 blown calls - 2 of which leading to deflection goals in their favor - that sure is some spiritual ****.

I love Looch but something is clearly wrong here. The guy just is going though motions. He seems lost out there.

-2 or 3, can't remember.

Would have been fine had they just moved Jags or Seguin up.

Now it's musical lines.

I'm with you there man. No idea where his head is at, but it's not the rink.

I hope some time on the low lines will get him back where he needs to be.

The playoffs will be the real test, and how he starts next season with the big-time money in his pocket.

It is very simple people. This team wasn't built to run and gun and play straight up hockey. They didn't add the name Big Bad Bruins for this team we been seeing.

This team is built to bang along the boards and punish teams with physical play all game long. Just as we saw in the 2011 team.. We played physical against the speedier teams and checked them out of the playoffs.

I am confident that if this team starts to play that way again, everything including the offense will fall in place. Buffalo out hit us this game! I don't understand, tho that stat can be a bit iffy. We should be out hitting every team we play where they don't even need to keep the stats cause it will be so obvious that were making our checks. Were getting pushed around and some..

WTF HAPPENED!! Look at Lucic and Horton, those are the first two guys that used to bang and hit, and now they shy away from it! Look at them, they are f!!!ing invisible. This team needs those 2 players involved emotionally and physically in order for this team to have success.
