My motivation is a little boy named, Martin. Go over to the Boston forum and find out who and how old he is. What team he loved. Then there's the rest of his family and many others from that day.

The motivation is the people who are Bruin fans. We play the Bruins (checks time) today.

I support them. By doing that for a day, I'm also supporting the Bruin Org. in their efforts to support their own.

Right now there's photos of the suspects out. Guy in the white hat to the left. I encourage everyone to look at him. It's the best pic of him to date. The rest are not that great to tell. FBI wants everyone's help.

The more people see him the better.

Hey guys.. we aren't gonna debate anything to do with the avatars. Use them.. or ignore them. This is a GDT. If people wanna support Boston all the way - let them. It's ****ing awesome when people join together no matter what the event is.

Now stop discussing it .... move along.

I really wanted the B's to win that game against Buffalo. This one, not so much. But Cookie can have a night off in support of a city that is hurting and needs something good in their lives at the moment. I just hope it is a cracking game.

Live long and prosper, Boston!

may be premature to ask, but I wonder if this game is still going to happen.

Sounds like things are not going to be lasting much longer. One of the suspects the FBI singled out has been shot and killed. The other suspect has been cornered in an apartment building, surrounded by police.

Pretty insane stuff unfolding all night long. Grenades and pipe bombs, shootouts with the police, etc.

My heart goes out to Boston.

-Edit- Uh, apparently he didn't die from gunshots. He blew himself up. Second suspect apparently has "devices" on his person as well.

Hey CaptainZapp, I've been following the events of tonight as well, but hadn't seen the info you just posted...WOW. So much going on up there, but good to see the perpetrators being "brought to justice."

Prayers to all in Boston...

Steve

Been listening to the police scanner all night long. It's surreal... It's like listening to a movie.

Apparently the suspects are brothers--19 and 20 (dead)--from Chechnya. Been in the US for about a year.

ALL time? That is pretty impressive. I am now tempted to bet on the game...

Have no idea. This is all so so surreal.

No way this game goes on tonight, I think. It's the best decision, no matter what else happens.

Game will be cancelled, likely that they will hold off rescheduling until it becomes apparent whether it will be needed to decide 1/2 seed.

Just had my last wisdom tooth pulled yesterday so I get to take hydrocodone. Should be a pretty low-stress game.

Especially considering I don't really care who wins this. I care more about seeing Boston fans enjoying themselves tonight.

I think it's pretty safe to say that with the amount of bombs planted around the city, there's no way the game happens tonight.

There's a state of emergency in Boston right now. Nobody is allowed outside, and everything is completely shut down.

Agreed. I don't think the game will or should be played.

Yea it would be tough to play this game. Boston is pretty much closed right now. So unless they catch the other suspect early today I doubt they play tonight. I wonder how the bruins will make up 2 games?

All of Boston is **** down this morning. If the remaining suspect is caught soon I could see the game going ahead. However, I could easily see the morning skate cancelled. Just my opinion.

Thoughts and prayers for Boston.

I agree the game will likely be cancelled -- particularly if the second suspect is still at large. Just trying to sort fact from opinion; wasn't sure if the game was officially cancelled at this point, or not...
