Sorry for the delay.

Guptill here, too much skill and potential to not be a top 10 prospect.

If it wasn't for Nemeth still on the board, I'd go Guptill too. The guy is going to break out this year. And then surprise during a season finale down in Austin.

Yeah Nemeth for me too. I see him as a solid 2nd pairing Dman for us.

We are on our 9th player and only one D man has been picked lol. Guess thats a good sign for our forward depth. Although no LW yet, but Dickinson can play LW

My first change from my earlier list (voting for goalies continuously is boring). It's Nemeth for me here. I really like his combination of physicality, first pass ability, and proximity to being NHL ready. I think he's an NHL'er, while everybody else on the list (sans Connauton) is quite a ways from being that close.

Will Guptill be in the AHL this year?

Going with Connauton, Nemeth and then Guptill

I'd like to know this also. He's getting up there age wise for a prospect with top 6 potential. With his size he should be playing in the AHL.

Guptill will probaby jump to Texas at the end of the season, just like Chiasson and Smith did 2 years ago.

I believe he still needs an ELC though. But not totally sure on that.

Hmm, very surprised to see him with out a contract. Anyone when he has to sign by? Or how close the Stars are to have the max number of contracts?

Having an ELC makes him ineligible to play in the NCAA, so he won't have one until the Stars decide he's ready to play in Texas.

Been voting for Connauton for 3 or 4 polls now, looks like I'll get to stop voting for him pretty soon. Nemeth being a good defensive D-man makes him exciting but I think Connaution is both closer to the NHL and has a higher ceiliing. Undoubtedly they're completely different kinds of d-men but one is a more exciting prospect, even if he has a lower floor than Nemeth does.
