At least split the next two and win those last two at home (3-1) and they should be in. The only way that doesn't do it is if Detroit wins their next three (or only loses one past regulation) going into the final game(certainly possible) or Phoenix wins out. If Dallas goes 3-0-1 and one of the wins (in regulation) is against Detroit they're a lock. Hmm I think I got that right or pretty close. They do control their own destiny at least. Win out and they're 100% in..they could even been Detroit in OT/SO.
For as good as we say Kari is, he hasn't done well in situations such as these in the last couple years. While that might be a Gulutzan/Crawford problem, it still falls on him. He needs to steal us at least 2 games in the last week of the season, maybe more.
I leant upon a coppice gate
When Frost was spectre-gray,
And Winterís dregs made desolate
The weakening eye of day.
The tangled bine-stems scored the sky
Like strings of broken lyres,
And all mankind that haunted nigh
Had sought their household fires.
The landís sharp features seemed to be
The Centuryís corpse outleant,
His crypt the cloudy canopy,
The wind his death-lament.
The ancient pulse of germ and birth
Was shrunken hard and dry,
And every spirit upon the earth
Seemed fervourless as I.
At once a voice arose among
The bleak twigs overhead
In a full-hearted evensong
Of joy illimited;
An aged thrush, frail, gaunt, and small,
In blast-beruffled plume,
Had chosen thus to fling his soul
Upon the growing gloom.
So little cause for carolings
Of such ecstatic sound
Was written on terrestrial things
Afar or nigh around,
That I could think there trembled through
His happy good-night air Some blessed Hope, whereof he knew
And I was unaware.
