It's as simple as this...

We win I think we are as good as in.. If we lose the race is on.

LETS GO ISLANDERS!!! 2 points in regulation!!!

I wouldn't ever have noticed the number in the thread title if not another user had pointed it out at the last game thread. But now unfortunately I have to be the one to nitpick as the number is 45 already.

I'm really pumped for this game. Obviously it is a real 4 point game but additionally it's also at a perfect time for europeans (9 pm) so I can watch it with a friend who is the only other real NHL fan I know besides myself. Well, he is a Kings fan but you can't be picky around here *g* At least the last time I watched a game with him was when the Islanders beat the Kings last year, so no bad omen I guess.

I can only applaud your loyality, you are a true fan! Not joining the chorus of praise in times like this is a real sacrifice! Especially as an Islander, as you never know when the next time is to get this opportunity again.

i don't think there's a right answer.

If I were the GM, Strait would be sent to Bridgeport for the weekend, they play three games, get him back in game-shape (timing, etc). Then get him into 1-2 of the final games.

I'd dress Martinek ahead of Carkner too, because there's less risk. WPG has a lot of quick forwards that can exploit Carkner (especially since he's paired with Streit) - and Martinek is far better defensively. I don't think the difference between Strait and Martinek is enough to make up for the fact that Strait hasn't played in so long.

But I'm fine with any choice. The team's blood-red-hot and everyone's playing well. There's no weak link (except Boyes AND Moulson, together, killing the first line)

I also think Joensuu will get back in for Boulton, though Boulton played his best game as an Islander against the Leafs, not just the fight either!

This will be an awesome game. That building rocks and both teams are really playing well.

The Jets are still a threat to the Isles playoff hopes. A NYI win in regulation and the Isles are 2 pts away from a playoff spot. Should be a loud and enthusiastic crowd in Winnipeg. The Isles need to shut them up like they did the Leafs crowd.

Let's go Islanders.

Isles are playing so well I'm tempted to say they'll win this one going away- but Winnipeg seems to have lady luck on its side...Isles still win though, they are simply the better team right now.

4-3

Tavares, Boyes, Moulson, Cizikas

Best decison is what you said....Strait to Bport for conditioning, Martinek in for Carkner. But i would play Ullstrom over Joensuu to counteract the Jets speed.

Kind of hoping the Islanders win in OT. Islanders get 2 points Winnipeg gets 1 pt and closer to knocking that other team out of the 8th spot!!! But let's not get in front of ourselves. Just win baby!!

If we win in regulation, it will actually be difficult to not make the playoffs. If we lose in regulation...I don't even want to think about that right now.
