I don't see how people are still making excuses and for our level of play. 1 game fine, 2 or even 3 ****** games. I'll forgive them. But it's been 5 games. It's like 10% of the season. We can't just keep saying it's no big deal.
I'm beginning to wonder if Therrien told his team to engage the opposition with their sticks more than their bodies for the remainder of the season after they clinched to help them rest up for the playoffs. He doesn't even seem to have any emotion behind the bench at all, despite that the team is getting badly outscored in every game save for the Tampa one.
I know he's a reformed coach since his first time around, but you can't change who you really are inside to the point where your old self is dead. He has to either be raging at his team getting obliterated time and again, or accepting the pain of what he decided to do in telling his players to coast.
Our guys need to start breaking in front of the net. They always glide behind the net an out of the play. Drive to the net and stop there. That's where you're gonna score goals. Stop playing on the perimeter.
