Big comeback win for the Ads tonight, down 3-0, won it 4-3 in a shootout. Gibson was pulled and Thiessen stopped all the shots he faced.

I caught a little of the first. The forwards are looking better. I saw shorter passes that are on target. They just had better puck movement overall.

Ah I hope not. Last Norfolk needs is for Gibson to get hurt.

No I saw on Twitter that he went off after a collision in the last game. Came here hoping for an update. Though everyone knew he was hurt.

Stephens tweeted that BM told him John Gibson's injury is not serious.

I was at the game in Syracuse yesterday (Friday). A player on Syracuse had the chance for a short-handed breakaway and Gibson came out past the hash marks to tip it past him. The Crunch player went straight into Gibson's head and he went down for a while. He eventually got up and went back into the net. A few mins later, there was a huge scrum at the other end. DSP got into it with Desjardins (Crunch goalie) and was tackled by a crunch player. While all this was going on, Gibson and a trainer ran off to the training room and Theissen came in. Theissen pulled something soon after and clearly played injured since the team had no other option.

Can't believe we lost 2 goaltenders in one game. Or maybe I can.

But anyway, Bobkov allowed 1 goal in a 2-1 win, Blacker and Rakell with the goals. Cote of Syracuse was ejected for an illegal check to the head - don't know if there are any repercussions from that in terms of new injuries.

Have not found anything from the Admirals about Gibson or Thiessen. We used to get a little more info on player status. Guess the Ducks are directing their affiliate to follow suit and not disseminate player injuries info.

Admirals twitter mentions signing Josh Watson to a PTO on Saturday.
Sometime this week the Admirals also signed RW Chad Painchaud to a PTO.

December 15th,

NOTES: From last Admirals game? Emerson Etem extended his point streak to six games. Etem has posted nine points (3g, 6a) during this current streak which began back on December 7th…Rickard Rakell’s four-game point scoring streak was snapped on Sunday.

Friberg, Etem, and Rakell all had three point nights against Adirondack in a 5-4 loss. Gibson was in net.

Gibson has had a rough go of it lately and his numbers have dropped. His SV% is now at .914.

I wonder if he's not 100%, or if he's just getting tired.

If there's one knock on Gibson, it's that he doesn't seem to be very durable over the course of a long season. All the more reason to keep him in the AHL until he's comfortable with the grind.

I strongly doubt Gibson would get a go to play with an injury. He`s just having some issues so, it`s better for him to get some seasoning in AHL.

Big Bob, however is doing nice in the AHL this season. Only 5 games, but 2,35 GAA and .921 S%. Not so bad, imo.

fault?

One way or another he has not been as good as at the start. I wouldn`t read much into it, but you can`t deny it.

Yeah, you can. What happened after the start of the season? Anaheim gets a ton of injuries and begins calling up many of Norfolk's best players. What do you think that's going to do to Norfolk's chances? That's not even getting into the fact that their team had issues to begin with. It's almost a given that they will be out shot every night.

I don`t really understand what ar eyou trying to prove here.

Gibson was better at the start... Now they have Etem, Steckel, Devo, and he`s not playing as good as at the start.

He was amazing at the start, but is not as good now. How can you again deny it? No one`s saying he`s guilty for every Ads loss, but his game has been declining lately and he`s putting up some bad numbers.

You are box score scouting. His numbers are declining, but he hasn't looked any different from what he looked like to start the season.
