Wow! Shocker in the Czech - USA game. so far at least....I'd usually be a USA supporter in these types of games, but given the results of the past 4 years it's time for the Americans to be taken down a peg or two. )))

Penalties galore in the the Canada-Germany game...

and the Americans get on the board... 2-1... I jinxed it.

difficult to stop Americans around the net. Too bad they scored in last minute. But we are still in lead... Let's go Czech !!!

McDavid is tearing it up so far. The only U16 players to do well in this tournament historically production-wise have been Olimb in 01/02 with 3+4 in 8 games(26th in scoring), Tavares with 2+3 in 7 games(21th in scoring) and Vrana last year with 4+4 in 8 games(8th in scoring). The 4th best ever is Rieder with 4 points in 6 games in 08/09 and McDavid already has 5 points.

Well they should be the best, it's theirs to lose every year.

3-2 now

And the Chechens make it 3-3 in the next shift. Fun game!

no doubt McDavid is a special player but I'm anxious to see how he does when we play medal contenders or play for a medal....if he can collect points in those types of games then we got a gem. I'm a big Mcdavid booster...

That can be said about any of the teams in this tournament, including Russia. 17 18 year old d-men are hardly refined in their defensive game. We'll see how what kind of adjustments they can make. No doubt the 1995 born players are not as strong as the 1994 born players. (for the U.S. I mean.)

Not to nitpick or anything, but I'm pretty sure he scored 4+4 in 6 games, not 8.

It was a joke. I'm sure many of your countrymen have heard it by now or will in the following days.

But if you don't want to wait for it, look here
