Mark Cundari 1st NHL Goal..

All the Flames new guys who everyone thought were plugs are making an impact.

This is the defenseman that came back in the Bouwmeester deal if anyone's wondering..

Good to hear those prospects the flames got weren't the garbage their former fan bases made them out to be. At least Cundari, anyway. It's early of course, but looking good so far.

I think he's going to be a good defenseman in this league for a good period of time.

There was just no room in St. Louis.

Always liked him dating back to his Spitfire days.

What a laser of a shot - I hope he stays in the NHL!

Did anyone ever say that? I only ever saw people saying their returns were less than expected.

There was a lot of "ha, not even a top ten prospect on our team". "Will never play in the NHL".

Why does that matter?

You're going to compare one game from a prospect to Bouwmeester?

Was hearing a lot of that. Obviously not from everyone, but from a fair amount of people.

The first being a fact, the second being quite possible had they remained on their original teams.

We were saying he was never going to play in the NHL for the Blues. We had no room for him.

But go ahead and go bananas over this guy after one period.

Luca Caputi scored on his first shot too, not like he turned into anything. Still think Calgary should have tried to get better prospects than what they got for their players, but nice to see them have success anyways.

Well they're not going to be doing that but it really isn't a big deal. This team is playing competitively and proving that they can win. Add Monahan or Shinkaruk plus the other two first round picks into the mix and this team is going to be just fine. Goaltending is the only concern I can see.
