A long shot if Hawks win another cup this season, but I don't really see this happening at all. He's on a good contract and still a star player. No reason for Hawks to get rid of him.

By the time Hossa wil be available to a team like the Panthers, he'll be 35+

Not happening.

Hossa is signed until 2021, no way we look at him anyway. Really, the Blackhawks shouldnt be a team that has a problem getting under the new cap. They'll compliance buyout Olesz & Montador (both with 1 yr remaining) and that will save them almost $6M in cap space right there.

Had to go out today and just finished watching the game (DVR'd it). Painful to watch. If not for Markstrom the game would've been 6 or 7 to zero. He made some great saves after being hung out to dry by the defense.

Scoring is a huge issue but so is defense. I know so many want offense but look at Washington; they had great offense for years but couldn't advance in the playoffs due to porous defense.

Unfortunately the team needs lots of help! As has been stated previously; with a healthy team and Mac, the Panthers are a playoff bubble team.

Can we first try and get to the playoffs consistently without aspirations of advancing IN the playoffs? This team needs offense, its needed it since Bure left. You Draft the BPA offensive person, end of story.

the difference is that many feel that the panthers have a great d-corps in the minors and juniors/ncaa... while they lack true high-end offensive talent

Ive been very impressed with Petrovic so far. His outlet passes are nice, and he uses that big frame of his. Its nice knowing that we are going to have two pretty strong guys on the blueline for a long time (Petrovic and Gudbranson).

i think we pick forward regardless. jones is a great pick if we were to somehow pick 3rd if that were the case of who we pick.

but we have good young dmen guddy, kuli, petrovic looks solid. brennan is still young and a solid 3rd pairing guy. matheson is coming up in a few years. robak could be coming up in a year or two.

as for solid top line offensive talent we don't have much. bjgustad and howden look to be solid forwards in the future but as for top line talent.

it's gotta be mack or drouin.

I agree! And there was one play where Lucic came in to hit him and basically bounced off him. He's looked good so far.

Anybody can put that play on YouTube ?

That was AWESOME ! Lucic locking in on Petrovic, and Petro just shrugging him like Milan is a little boy !

I need that to shut up some of my Bruins fans friends !

He's been playing A LOT pk this season. I don't get it. He's the worst forward getting the puck out of our zone and if he was to get a short handed breakaway he'd never score

Yeah, I agree and predicted in another thread that Petro(hoping Kuba is the one he replaces) will make this team next season out of camp!

So yeah, we don't need Jones DT, Draft Mac and add Mac/Petro to the team next season!

petrovic is one of those players that just passes the eye test... Also seems like one of those players that you could say the offense potential is there and it will come with time. With him i actually believe it...

NHL looking at panthers as so bad that even a 27 save shutout by rask doesn't earn tonights 3 stars, rather than a 2 goal callahan lool
