I also had a daughter, Fiona, last June, so having her in one arm makes typing more difficult

Like meister and mikeybuddha I prefer rational discussion about hockey. I come here now mostly to find news and topics that interest me and don't post as much as I used to. Most of my posting is elsewhere.

As a diehard fan I am passionate about this and have little tolerance for re-written history. Vic Rattlehead was a piss-ant wuss who wouldn't stand up to his words and Lost Horizons wasn't much better in my book.

I realized after I wanted to lay out that guy that it's not worth getting worked up about anymore. So I basically just opted out.

But there was more. I stated this on posts: I felt the board had devolved into something more of a twitter-esque forum where one-liners were more prevalent than well constructed conversations and good analysis. Frankly I don't care about someone's cat or their emotional highs/lows during games and what not. Not a snob, just prefer to talk meaningful hockey. Bottom line it was becoming more and more of an effort to wade through all the noise to find what seemed to be fewer and fewer meaningful posts.

Lastly, the personal/professional life have become more demanding. Don't have as much time to post. If/when I do, its on a different forum. But this place is still good for news or an occassional read. And there are still several good posters here. Just too hard to easily find their posts on the topics I am interested in.
MB,

Love your stuff even when I disagree, because it is always well thought out...but (there's always a but ), you got to let the Jacobs thing go. You will be a happier man

I'd find it extremely amusing to have some threads with forum age requirements on it- both upper and lower limits just to see how the conversation differs. This thread and the look backs at some of the old threads has me wondering how 'class' to 'class' would differ.

Got to disagree with you on this one, Joe. I'm with MB, in that a part of me will always hate Jacobs for the transgressions of the past. They may be doing well now but he's still the same turd he's always been to me, and he always will be...

This is starting to remind me of a Channel 2 reunion of groups from the 60's.....Roger McGuinn next up singing 'hey Mr Tambourine Man play a song for me...'

acr walks out behind the curtain and I get so emotional I buy 5 book bags with chalk drawn children on them, and get a three set album of the Platters greatest hits.

If Kirk posts it will be like Roy the Boy Orbison breaking out into 'Only the Lonely'

(on a side note I blew off seeing Roy in NH shortly before his death and really am still bummed to this day)....seeing him do Pretty Woman would have been right behind only the local teams winning those first championships

Yes.

In fact, the Dow Jones dropped 46 points today, which is obviously Chris Rooney's fault.

I blame Chris Lee for half of the LFers being on antidepressants while the other half is drunk.
