Those above listed are the few that could have intelligent debates with me without resorting to personal shots.

I mean no forum community could be fortunate enough to be filled with Gonzo's or deliciouspies left and right, that's expecting far much of God to produce so many perfect specimens.

But anyway,

Post below people you miss that used to be regulars here.

EDIT: Don't mention banned posters, they are gone for whatever reason and might as well be a bunch of Voldermorts.
I am around. If I had a penny for every hit on hfboards Id be extremely rich. Been here for so many years....and sad to say...I think I have been on hf almost everyday since I joined. Not everyday...but if there was a way to track it Id be pretty embarrassed. Smart phones made it worse.

I do have a life though. I am officially domesticated. Wife & kids do that.

Proud to say I have zero infactions. More of a reader than writer. There has been times where you get into it but certian fan bases are what they are. No matter how hard you argue...there is no point.

Lots of great posters seem to be gone. Some new ones but the good ones always stand out. Wally ran a good ship when he was in command.

Cheers

edit...just saw my join date march 2004...9 yrs. Wow thats along time. Thats alot of time.

I'm still around! I very very rarely post but I read this forum every single day. I was refreshing every chance I got following OOG's posts on the Soderberg saga.

I love reading the old timers' posts here (DKH has always been and will always be a classic read) and love the contributions from newer posters over the years (OOG is a great example). I've also enjoyed Wally's change in demeanor once he "retired" from mod

Thanks to all the great posters and mods on this board that make it so enjoyable to be a part of.

Meisterbruinmaker was always a good read. Always looked forward to his posts breaking the team down position by position for strengths/weaknesses.

He still posts. I usually end up immediately merging his new threads with an existing one.

Pretty sure KillerKampfer still posts, but on a new name. Unless I'm thinking of someone else.

Yes.......And happily. I was banned for a controversial post in 06 and 200 people slammed me. I was allowed back in 2010 only to be banned again. I have recently been allowed back after 3 more years and I am happy to be here. I have read the board just about every day...It was hard not to share when we won the cup. Anyway, Glad to be back.

It's funny, we think alot of the posters of the past left, but many just lurk, some posting once or twice a year. Gorskic, responding here for one, Silva as well.

Someone mentioned Hartford Mike a year ago, and sure as **** he posted in the thread. Watch him post here now

Stepping back and lurking seems to be the strategy of many now. Lack of intellectual hockey talk and the redundant crap will do that I guess.

I think I caught the very end of what hf use to be like. it is now very saturated with roller coaster fans whose post are more fueled by passion and emotions than anything... I'm not bashing passion we all hate a bruins loss here but sometimes it gets rather crazy.

I also think that with this saturation and a lot of new faces some of the great posters on here have been bashed a lot which they did not deserve. I mean I saw OOG get told he was outright wrong in the YETI thread...

I think this has driven some people to post less and even avoid GDT's, it also causes good posts to go less noticed...

It's kinda funny.
Quite of few of the truly missed 'missing' have been members for near 10 years back, yet have only a few thousand posts.
It seems there's a bunch of members from ca. 2010 that are going on 10,000+ posts.

Quality vs quantity. Think before posting.

There was a guy who posted here, had a great Bruins mancave
cute little kid, very pretty wife, posing in a Bruins Jersey, who
I missed, asked about and was told he was banned.

Hockey Goddess took a long sabbatical, but I've seen her posting a bit
recently.
If you go back to old threads, their posts will have a * next to their username. The Cup run GDTs have a bunch, if you want to take a trip down memory lane.

Some posters have a * at the end of there user name so it's not necessarily and indicator they've been banned.

I think we need to have our sort of annual Lunatic Fringe best poster awards thread.

Haven't had one of those in a while. Builds unity.
