Although I am still bitter about the Jackets not drafting #1 last year (even though we still would've drafted Murray). I am happy for you/ "us" to get a true #1C. Good luck FL (although it will be hard to root for you now lol after realignment). I will be down to see a few games this winter. I hope you play the Jackets around the time I will be in FL!
Hey, we both get the guy wanted. It all worked out.

seen people say that his play is better suited to be a wing at NHL. seen that he's a true #1 center, and i've heard he might start as a winger but become a center later.

i personally believe we might have a winger>C transformation rather than him staying wing

What is Nate Mac's ceiling? Do you think he will be a top-5 point producer one day?

Folks we are now instant playoff contenders

Huberdeau - Mackinnon - Mueller

Flash - Weiss - Versteeg

Bergenheim - Goc - Upshall

Kopecky - Someone - Skillle/Shore/Parros

I think the northerners call it, OOOffense?

I agree, we need someone who will stand up for Huby and Mac, or even Drouin, and create space for them. Like a Lucic type. Most likely it will be an outside acquisition.

You're forgetting Matthias, that's a pretty deep line-up. I don't think Weiss is on it though. You're also missing Bjugstad.

Mueller - Mac - Huber
Flash - Weiss/Bjugs - Versteeg
Bergy - Mathias - Kopecky
Parros - Goc - Shore

I like both our top 2 lines!!! first time in a decade we will have 2 true scoring lines!

this is assuming bjugstad/howden stays in the AHL to work on their game

I agree. Add Mac/Petro this season & Bjugs/Robak next season. Man are we gonna be tough to play against in a couple years.

We probably have no choice. For the first time we have a logjam at center.

Cue the jokes about us not being able to win anything this season.

Weiss spoke yesterday about wanting to return, and he sounded optimistic. If it were to happen, we have a serious logjam at center. Do you go Mac, Weiss, Goc, Matthias? What happens with Shore and Bjugstad? I agree that Jugs should start the season in the A, but what happens if he just rocks it in the preseason? You know the kid has the frame for the NHL already, he just needs to tone his skills. Do you keep Jugs in the NHL, and send Shore down to the A? Whatever happens, this is a luxury that we have never had!

He was in the top 20 in the 99-00 season, when he had Bure on his wing.

I think they'll stay in SA until someone gets hurt. If Bjugs/Shore starts tearing it up then we can always push Matthias to the wing.

He, Huberdeau and Drouin are the best 3 players to play in the Q since Crosby. He is the perfect compliment to Huberdeau and they already like playing together. If you could ever get your hands on Drouin, DO IT! A Drouin - MacKinnon - Huberdeau line would be incredible for years to come.

I guess Matthias is moved to wing and Shore or Goc is 4C. Or maybe Mac is moved to wing. If bjugstad. tears it up in camp, then he'd be 3C and Shore goes to the AHL.
