Luckily that one was squashed and we returned to the the provisions under FISA. But that was a pretty dark period for privacy in the USA as far as national security goes.

How about when USA Today broke the story that the NSA records billions of phone calls, and stores them all. If you want to talk about Orwellian, look no further than that. The NSA call database borders on a violation of the 4th amendement (in many cases it's just a flat out violation).

May you live in interesting times as they say. We certainly do.
I know a lot more than you probably think.

Explain how you expect those charged w/ stopping terrorism to go to a judge and obtain a warrant for a dynamic IP address. One that's going to change every time the user logs in? By the time you have a warrant, you need to go back and get another, and another. Same for disposable cell phones.

All of the things you're discussing have senate oversight. You do understand that term, oversight? They aren't listening to every call, they're using technology to scan for certain words, and voices. So they can determine what calls they should listen to. Unless you're talking to your uncle Kalid in Pakistan a/b where to acquire semtex. You don't have a lot to worry a/b. No one cares what porn you're downloading, or if you're cheating on your wife.

Try putting together a bomb on your table without help and trying it out small scale first and let us know how you make out.
lol it's the LEAST sophisticated bomb type out there after something as basic as a molotov cocktail.

The materials used to make pressure cooker bombs are neither expensive nor unique, and the instructions are widely available.

http://www.cbc.ca/news/world/story/2...oker-bomb.html

Information about pressure cooker bombs can also be found on white supremacist and anarchist websites. Former FBI agent Jack Cloonan told CBC that "domestic groups in the United States have used these types of devices."

A blasting cap can be attached to the top of the pressure cooker. The explosion can be triggered using simple electronic components like digital watches, cellphones, pagers or garage door openers, according to the U.S. Department of Homeland Security.

You need very basic training in electrical circuitry. If you know how to wire even a basic LED circuit, you know how to arm one of these.

Big time. I want to know why the airline computer system doesn't have a filter on it that will still pull up potential matches even if their name is spelled wrong.

You can't play what if because it will eat you alive.

Lessons will be learned no doubt.

CISPA is the exact definition of Orwellian. You asked me to name you Orwellian measures, I gave you one. Lawyers all over the country are building cases about it being a clear 4th amendement violation. I'm not going to type away and convince you of something that clear cut.

Anyway I'll stop before thread ban. Carry on.

According to you.

So, again. If you're not attacking or hacking secure government sites etc, you don't have anything to worry about there, Neo.

Yup, thread ban, Big Brother watching you through your new plasma, or from the black helo. Shhhh, wait...shhhhh did ya hear that, man? Nevermind, false alarm...

I'll be curious to see what his student loan amounts are. Some of the money the 9/11 hijackers got were from private student loans they took to "help pay for their schooling".

I worked at a loan company in college and we were warned about these kinds of suspicious requests coming through when we were in training.

I want to know more about bomber #1's wife and her family. Something seems off especially since they put their house up for sale Friday and then took it off the market today.

The kid had pictures of his 900 dollar sneakers. I think its safe to say that money wasn't coming from Daddy to go to his schooling.

They found pyrotechnics in his dorm room. Seems to me him and his brothers were being supplied by someone. There's a Uncle Ruslan denounced his brother and his kids. He probay knew they were crazies

I was an Army officer stationed in Louisiana from 1962-64 and the same thing happened there, particularly to black people.

I had a young, black Private in my unit who was held in a segregated hell-hole of a jail for 5 months with no charges. I went to confront the local sheriff about it. I was told that the kid was a passenger in a car with stolen tires in the trunk. When I asked about evidence and when charges would be brought I was told "hell, Lootenant, he was in the car, the tires were in the car and he's a ******. And that's all the evidence we need around here."

I pressed the Army Judge Advocate General to intervene and, after more time passed, he was released without any charges filed. Basically he had served a jail sentence.

The conditions in that "jail" were so scummy it is hard to describe. The whole episode was a shock to me, along with other episodes like a cross burning in the yard of one of the black enlisted men on the base. I couldn't wait to get out of there.

Re-read what I typed. I never mentioned his dad.

Student loan totals are definitely a possible avenue for them to get their funding for their lavish lifestyle as well as to carry out the attacks.

You mean you actually expect them to apply law already in existence?

How draconian.

ICE or w/e probably heard his case and figured he made a mistake and has a reason to stay here or w/e.

My friend who is becoming a citizen(has been becoming once since I met him over 8 years ago) was recently arrested and I was told he could be deported. From my understanding he would have a chance to plead his case to the judge why he should stay.

Maybe the older brother had a chance to do that and that is why he stayed.
