Bennett is probably not hurt IMO. No word that he missed practice yesterday or that he was hurt in practice (?) so... do the math there.

The team taking no chances with guys that might be targeted. Nobody in their right might would target Iginla or Morrow for something that happened when they weren't on the team, and the more those guys are out learning the nuances of our system the better... although it wouldn't surprise me if Letang really did get food poisoning in Boston.

Damn it, now we lose Bennett too...

That pretty much guarantees Steve MacIntyre is in the game (who is Officer Big Mac, not Mayor McCheese...some people ). I assume Jeffrey will slot in for Bennett. With just an optional morning skate it's hard to project lines right now.
I am duly shamed at my lack of knowledge of McDonald's mascots. I've always been a Hamburglar fan myself.

Bennett hurt now? Jesus balls, it never ends. Hopefully it's just a precautionary thing.

Also, didn't Letang just have food poisoning not too long ago? Dude either needs to learn to cook or try a new restaurant.

My thoughts exactly. I was wondering if they were going to want to protect him as well.

Yeah, I'd imagine they don't want Bennett getting Tangradi'd.

If they wanted to protect Bennett, couldn't they just make him a healthy scratch? Or has he played too well lately for that and Bylsma needs an excuse to bench him?

thanks for the kind words Nietzsche. seeing Gustafsson and Nilssen-Love live is a treat. i really regret missing out on when they toured with the now departed Joe McPhee. The Scandinavian free jazz scene is quite compelling but here's hoping we run into the Rangers and eventually Chicago.

This is what I was thinking as well. It's not like it would be that unusual for him to be scratched.

And don't jump all over me for this as I like Bennett as much as the next Pens fan, but he seems like kind of an odd guy to go out of their way to try to protect. If a team really wanted to screw the Pens by causing injury they'd be better off going after someone like Dupuis, Iginla or even Niskanen.

Agreed. Although it would suck losing Bennett, there's a very real possibility that Bylsma would not even dress him when everyone's healthy.

Hey guys,
Just stopping by to wish you good luck tonight. As much as sliding down to 8th would give me a heart attack i would love another Sens vs Pens first round series, especially if we're both healthy.

Crafton also pointed out that this is by far, the most games Bennett's ever played in a season. It could simply be he's wearing down, especially having to spend a season against bigger, meaner, faster competition.

A lot of college rookies have that problem their first pro season. I'm not too worried about him.

Bennett's hand finally fell off, he's in Japan getting fitted for a robotic one to replace it.

Keep it in mind if your fantasy league hasn't ended yet.

Don't talk about posts made on other team's boards here.

But I think the majority of us can agree that Boston can't get eliminated fast enough.

Speaking of which, the most likely match up seems to be Isles versus Boston. I'd personally love to see Toronto/Boston in the first round. The Leafs probably wouldn't beat them in the series, but they're one team that could really beat them up physically.

My apologies,

I figured I would tell Pens fans about it, but I guess there was really no reason to.

there's a reason a lot of "those kinds of people" talk hockey mostly on Facebook.

(hint: it's because they know very little, if anything, about hockey)

This person yells 'dump and chase' when our team is on the PK.
