Why do we ever bench Dvorak?

I think that was a factor. They were pretty worn down, so once they clinched, they really took their foot off the gas. Now that they made it harder on themselves, and realize they need to get it going, they're back playing like they can, and fairly fresh to boot. They'll get a decent rest, with likely only two games over the next week before game 1 starts, so I like how it's turned out.

Also, Dvorak making a case to stay in the line-up. Just a crafty vet who knows where to be to score and does a lot of the little things right. BB might have some tough decisions to make regarding this line-up heading into the playoffs, and that's a very good thing.

This is a neat theory, but...they're playing Edmonton. Twice. We need to wait and see if everything's sorted out or not.

Nobody is floating and losing pucks on that line, so.....asi say this Getzlaf turns it over

As far as everyone asking why Dvorak doesn't play more? Because you have to scratch another wing.

Perry, Ryan, Selanne, Cogliano, Winnik aren't gonna sit.

Pick one of Etem, Palmieri, Beleskey to remove from the lineup. Then Dvorak gets to play.

Is it bad that I'd almost consider Ryan?

We have so many capable players for that fourth line, he kind of just gets lost in the numbers game. That final spot is likely between him and Beleskey, and a guy like Maroon certainly made a case before he was sent down. I've gotta hand it to BM on this one, our line-up's far from perfect, but I'll be damned if we don't have depth. If it's not to Getzlaf or Perry, I'm honestly not really worried about possible injuries come playoff time.

I'm shocked anyone shows up for these Edmonton games, the effort level is terrible.

As bad as Edmonton is, we've proved we can play down to their level. I'm not liking the fact that they're up 2-0 after beating them, I've liked the effort level these last two games. They're playing a garbage team and they're acting like they care, so it definitely looks good so far.

It's bad that Ryan makes himself the most suitable candidate.
