They probably had their best start of a tournament ever but I still think that the only thing they are doing is locking down the 8th place after the "big 7". First couple of games are always strange in the WHC, it's the same thing every year.

im not a fan of Ruff. also not a fan of coaches who openly admit to not knowing other players. just reminds me of Pat Quinn when he came into EDM and was botching names or just mentioning guys by some abstract position. they just sound like old, idiot dads who think they know everything when the world has really past them by.

"i have this job based on everything other than QUALIFICATION. respect my name." no.

I agree you usually want Hall going balls out as much as you can. From comments by other posters it seems that Hall did it at the wrong time and he is the guy used to send a message.

I expect hevwill be back and play great. Hall is Hall.
Problem is Duchene doesn't let Hall be Hall...they play essentially the same high tempo, carry puck into O zone game.

That's what I said earlier after watching Ruff handle Team Canada's roster. Pat Quinn v2

This has got to be a weird game for Dubnyk only facing 3/4 shots half way through.

Maybe it doesn't work in NA but youtube works for me:

It's a delayed though., he scored 5 secs ago on youtube

EDIT: By the way, I don't think that this goal was any kind of "statement" by Ebs/Hall. I could probably have defended better than the Norwegians right there... Well, not really, but you get the point.

Yeah. They're not quite there yet. But they sure seem to be getting better every year.

Hall scores, gets benched for not defending the 4-0 lead.

Schultz really wants to score right now, doing the 4th attacker.

Crappy.
That's why I live in Italy ...

Well, that and the weather... and the food... and wine... uhmm and my wife...

Anyway, 5-1 now.

Bad defense... Well, I guess it doesn't really matter but in principle it's too soon to play lazy in the 2nd period...

Duchene is an electric player. Super skilled....but not impressed with his hockey sense. He has tunnel vision.

Well, Hall just scored so not sure how to counter this notion. I said he would come back and be great. Players at his level get it faster than regulars. I expect him to have a very strong tourney from here on out. Maybe Ruff lit a fire. Maybe that was the point. Whatever the case, Hall seems on track again.

I havent seen a lick of this tourney, so i'm not going to comment directly on thigns I have no business commenting on.

However, I've seen from some posters that hallsy and others have gotten limited time for not being defensive etc.

Now I ask...is this really justified? Are they not producing? Are they playing like **** and giving up turnovers? From an OBJECTIVE view, does it make sense?

Our boys aren't above criticisms, guys. the worst we can do is ***** about kruger (who looks like he does nothing) and then ***** about how our guys arent being treated fairly if someone is making them accountable

Like i said, i havent seen any of it, so which is it..Ruff making guys accountable, or just being an ******* and not playing them because he doesn't like them?
