Wouldn't classic Dubnyk be 3 goals on 40 shots being outshot 40-20 and losing 3-1?

Those Slovenian snipers are ruining the only good thing about his game: his save percentage.

It turns out that he is pretty bad in front of good teams too.

Don't trust the save percentage. The save percentage is a lie.

Obviously there's some gems on the Slovenian team.

Oh so the team in front of Dubnyk is really good and he is letting them down? I can't watch the game but from all I've heard, this isn't the case.

Anyway, I hope we end up winning this game (for obvious reasons) but this tournament really is "Bizarro" hockey. Always has been. It somehow makes elite NHLers look super ordinary on a regular basis.

Nah its off some awful defensive break downs and turn overs. Not really Dubnyks fault to be honest but I'd say this game cements Smith as the starter going forward.

His team is out-shooting the opposition 32-11 after the second period.

They are losing because he is getting outplayed by the third ranked European goalie in this year's draft.

MacT talked about looking at Euro goalies. He is up there in the rankings. Maybe a draft candidate?

Could be one of those later round goalie picks.

Oh great, now everybody is going to fawn over Stamkos just because he scored 2 goals. He played a stinker of a game today just like the rest of his teammates.

Considering the oilers have been the most outshot team in the league since Dubnyk entered the league, I would say you are correct.

In a tournament where France beat Russia, I don't get any of the surprise of how close these games can be.

So I've heard that Hall was benched in the game today. Apparently too many turnovers has the coaching staff benching him...? didn't watch the game. Was it deserved?
