Career high in Ks for Phelps with 9 through 4.

Garbage

edit: I can't believe it's still only the 6th inning.

If you combine the 2 pitchers they've thrown like 130 pitches through 6 and we've scored 3 runs..

It feels like this team literally cannot score a run without a homerun.

Feels like? It's actually the only thing we do well

Hahah Yankees have 8 walks. Meanwhile, Jays have 11 strikeouts.

Intentionally walking Ichiro.

This team is so dumb. Ichiro not only sucks now but Delabar is also better against lefties.

Make JP the DH and get a defensively sound catcher?

LOL

This team is funny.... it's like the beginning of the movie Happy Gilmore where he bombs the golf ball but has no short game.

JP should not ever be a DH. Not now. Not ever. The fact that he offers nothing with the bat except for power is acceptable (to an extent) almost entirely because he's a catcher. Move him to DH and his hitting #s suddenly plummet straight to the bottom of the pack.

It's one thing for him to DH on occasion just to rest him (though I'm not entirely in love with that because it will **** the team over if Blanco hurts himself in-game), but he should never, ever, ever, ever, ever be a regular DH.

It doesnt matter how many HR's JP hits the guy is absolutely wretched defensively.

Single handidly going to cost us this game. Quite amazing that in a "All in" year they trust this laughinstock to be the starting catcher.

Right, this"laughingstock" is the reason why the team is in trouble this year . Yep Mr.Expert here is claiming its all JP's fault!

His bat isn't good enough for a DH. His value only comes because he can sort of catch.

Just, what a terrible player he is. Horrible at pitch framing, terrible at blocking, doesn't throw out enough runners, can't get on base, can't hit for average, strikes out a ton but hey, homeruns! He is so lucky he is barely a passable catcher.

This team sucks. Early or not, we're done

Not 1 player is over achieving. Every single player is playing like garbage.

Nope this brutal start to the season is not JP's fault and nowhere did I say that. JP is however a brutal catcher. He can hit long homeruns but besides that the guy is absolutely useless. The catchers job first and foremost is to play defense and run a pitching staff well. It doesnt matter if the guy hits 40 home runs if he is a absolute joke behind the plate and JP is.

JP's defense is honestly the worst I've seen from the position in my 30 years of watching the sport.
