Maybe just me, but he sounded more angry and frustrated than arrogant.

EDIT: Just saw Bruins/Flyers highlights. Chara with an own-goal.

3/5 O'Byrnes on that one.

If Boston gets two points or less from their next 3 games and we win all three of our last games we can take the division. Boston should lose to the Caps and beat the Lightning. If the Sens can take them in the last game we're good. Our next two opponents are 2/3 worst teams in the league, then we've got the Habs. Get those wins and beat the Habs and at the very least we've got home ice against Montreal.

It's not far out that we could grab #2.

And I agree with that other dude about our shootout losses. Just 2/5 wins from those and we'd be in a really promising position.

Yeah, I just didn't like the way he spoke to that one reporter like he was a complete idiot or something. Bringing up what he thought were stupid questions that the reporter asked from a year ago.. ugh just shut up and answer it or say no comment. It's funny when Torts does it, but there's just something about Noel that rubs me the wrong way. He just seems like a miserable arrogant person all the time.

first things first. 1 point tomorrow and we're 7th at worst.

Just win, and hope Boston loses

People noted your favourite scribe missed two names for GMs who are on the hotseat: No. 1 is Buffalo GM Darcy Regier, who tried cleaning house at the deadline, but failed to move RW Drew Stafford and the coaching change was a failure. Montreal assistant GM Rick Dudley is a possible replacement. Listed at No. 2 is Dallas GM Joe Nieuwendyk. He wasn't hired by owner Tom Gagliardi and the name of former Maple Leafs GM Brian Burke keeps surfacing as a possible replacement with the Stars. For some reason, he's also been linked to the Rangers if Glen Sather steps aside from his GM duties.

Boston sucks, I'll be shocked if they make ECF.

I would have the perfect scrubs clip but it is not uploaded

It would be something.

Also Ulfie Ovie might be self-centered but the first thing he asked when the coach wanted to make him captain was...do the room approve of it. He only accepted it when he learned the room unanimously named him the captain. He might have been struggling the fast few years but he really picked it up under Oates who really helped the team come together greatly. I'm happy for both of them, and Backstrom who's been suffering as well. It's not easy going through 3 coaches in their short period.

I really do feel bad for Winnipeg. it really must suck to have only one more game to try to make the playoffs, and have your destiny in the hands of several teams have have 2-3 more games. (how on earth do they only have one and everyone else has 3? how did that one shake up).

but honestly I think the ENTIRE SE division is going to wake up to a new reality next year, with the realignment. Winnipeg is going to be out West, Tampa/Florida has us, Ottawa, Montreal, Detriot and the Bruins to contend with (as well as Buffalo). and Washington has to deal with the Atlantic.

I think they (Winnipeg) needs a Miracle, and it might come at the hands of the Sens, because I don't see the Rangers blowing it down the stretch.

@Daisy Joy: Winnipeg Jets are a bad hockey club. They wouldn't be close to a playoff spot in 82 game season. Look at their goal differential, after points that is the best indicator of a team's performance. They are miles away from being a playoff team.

They rode benefit of having a couple of hot streaks in a shortened NHL season.

I don't think winny needs a 'miracle' to make playoffs. If they beat the habs on Thursday (which I'm sure everyone here hopes) and Rags gain only 1 point or less out of the remaining 4 they have up for grabs then Jets make it. Not that farfetched.

Personally I'm hoping the Rags choke out of the playoffs with all that talent they have.

Columbus cannot catch Detroit's ROW total of 20. Therefore, Blue Jackets must beat Wings outright to get to playoffs. Tie goes to DET.

Tampa Bay will make the playoffs next year. Our division's going to be really tough with Tampa, Boston, Montreal, Ottawa and us vying for a playoff spot. Detroit's not making it.

If they learn how to play defense...then possibly.

I've heard that every year about them. Outside of 4-5 players, they are a **** team who have one playoff appearance in the last six years. They never seem to get the goaltending and/or play proper defense.
