Selanne has 674 goals, thus bringing shame upon himself, the league and indeed mankind as a species. But it gets worse. He also has 755 assists and 1429 points. Fairly banal on its face, sure, but look at this:

1429 - 755 = 674

It can't be a coincidence. It just can't.
LMAO! I died reading this one! You sir have won the internet

I don't know how you guys can forgive him so fast... Look what he put us through!! Sure, things are fixed, but that doesn't make what he did right. I'm sure after a good sleep, letting it sink in that he's at 675, i'll feel better.

You're lucky Teemu, you're ****ing lucky.

Is it confirmed? I know it seems like a 100% certain he will hang them up after this year. But you never know with this guy.

675 is still way too close to 674. There needs to be some cushion for me to be able to feel safe.

What if in the future, technology allows automatic goal review at incredible speed? It wouldn't be too hard to review old games for some stat tweaking... and then some random power play goal that Selanne had was actually a redirection by someone else.

Quietly, his total falls down to 674 without anyone noticing. This scenario is way scarier since no one can see it coming until it's too late.

Sure. It's always easier to brush it off as silly. Ignorance is bliss, 'tis folly to be wise.

Any Selanne news? It's very nice of him to think of the world while he's making his decision.

If he plays again...we're all in crisis unless he hits 700 goals.

Thanks goodness we avoided this potential global tragedy. But I still have lost all respect for him for even MAYBE finishing with.....that number of goals.

That leaves 666.

So we got Jagr, Selšnne and Brodeur, 3 really, really old legends still playing and doing well and they all have correlations with the number 666.

That explains their longevity. They must've sold their souls to the Devil
Now that Jagr and Brodeur are both in NJ, will Selanne also sign with the Devils?

It's impossible to shut down. We need people to understand and hear what Teemu almost did. If the moderators shut this down it would be like History refuses to tell the truth just cause it is inconvenient.

Teemu Selanne and the infamous 674 should never be pressed away from the people. We have to know what we are afraid of and face it, not run from it.

You know why he's coming back?

He doesn't want World Peace. He wants to end his career after he ends up with a weird number of career goals.

I bet he finishes his career with a stupid number like 693...It's all on purpose.

I was hoping this classic wouldn't need to be locked, but it's being pointlessly bumped on a regular basis so...

locked.

(and it ended on post #400... disgraceful)
