Yup the playoffs can be very unpredictable. Just like 90% of Canucks fans 2 years ago were laughing on their board saying they'd beat us in 4 "MAYBE 5."

Edit: Not hating on them but on their board at the time it seemed to be that way.

Voted for the Kanatians, AIAEK, as the kids say. We've owned them the last few years.

WIns losses aren't much better, but they are playing great... I dvr them and the new guys look really good...gives them a different identity....plus Stepan is starting to take the next step... I still think their D is suspect and can be worn down, but they will be a PIA round one... Lundqvist could easily have a 1.50 GAA series....Rask could though too.

Hopefully Looch will keep playing like he did for the majority of the Tampa game. Same with Rask.

This.

I never like picking one. Finish as high as possible to have home ice as long as possible.

I didn't want Montreal, Philly or Tampa during the Cup run and that turned out well. In the previous years I wanted Carolina and Philly.

I want the Boston Bruins in the first round. IF that team shows up and not what we have seen over the course of the second half of the season then I am happy.

The first round is going to be nothing about who we play, but how we are playing. We should be able to beat any of the potential first round opponents, but we are more than capable of losing to any of them as well if we don't come out firing on all cylinders. Other than the Pens and the Hawks, who are clearly the best two teams in the NHL, things are very very wide open.

The Rangers are a horrible match up for them.

A series which lends itself to emotion benefits the Bruins the most. Games against the Rangers just suck all the life out of the room.

The only opponent that would really create that emotional factor would be Toronto.

Im with the majority here. Everytime I have wanted to play a certain team, they lose lol. So I say we play who we play, it should not matter if we are the better team and play to our potential. Im more worried about how WE play than Who we play

just curious - who was saying they preferred the caps last year? I could have sworn everyone wanted the sens, and we thought it would be the sens up until the last weekend. anyone who wanted the caps obviously didn't pay attention to the last regular season game played between caps/bruins. it was pretty obvious what Hunter had up his sleeve after that one. that screamed bad match up from the get go.

Yeah I wanted no part of that shot-blocking PITA of a team last year....would have much preferred the Sens. Same reason I don't want to see the Rangers this year - they're gonna revert to their 6 goalie system in their own end during the playoffs, and trying to watch that kind of hockey drives me insane.

Pretty sure 99% of Bruins fans wanted the Sens and had no interest in seeing the Caps in Round 1...for good reason it turns out.

I've got the same feeling about the Rangers this year.

agreed with the general sentiment, anyone but the rags. Not only would we probably lose that series (not that we'd win many others if they continue to play like that), it would also be hella boring.

Well Isles are losing to Buffalo now and if they lose they are stuck in 8th place. So if we win the division it's either Ottawa or the NYR.

sorry about that. the K was a lame play on letters in honor of Kanata. Figured if they can use a K instead of a C, then why kan't I?

All good choices the Bruins could dismantle in a playoff series.

I love it

really surprised Toronto is in the lead. That team scares the hell out of me for a first round matchup. Would much rather the Bruins get their legs against a weaker team first.
