Q's had a lot of good two-way players at his disposal in Chicago. Toews, Hossa, Sharp, Bolland, Ladd, Madden, Kruger, Frolik, Saad, etc..

In Toronto, I don't think their forwards would have the same commitment. I could see Lupul.. but I couldn't see Kadri, Kessel, MacArthur, JVR, etc. really buying in from what I've seen.
no, they don't really have a lot of (any?) 2 way skill...but with Lupul, Kadri, Kessel, and JVR you've got the starting point of a strong top-6 where you don't have huge holes to fill..but the holes have to be filled in a specific way (forwards who have size and are good defensively).

the defence is cringe-worthy...which is ironic given Carlyle claims to be a defence-oriented coach

Amazing game in Vancouver. Super physical, you can definitely see the beginnings of a playoff rivalry there.

what I wanted to say that there is a guarantee that Quick won't do a bad mistake like the OT goal again soon

The last two Cup winners have followed up their win w/ a loss in the first round in Game 7 in overtime on goals by undrafted right wingers.

Andy McDonald is a right winger often enough to have a shot at continuing this.

Niemi was rock solid tonite, Couture and Torres had good games. The Sedins were kinda lost out there and Kesler did not look good at all. Go Sharkies!

Yea, we don't get along well with the Canucks.

Maybe this Toronto series is exactly what the Bruins need to get back on track. Kicking their ***** all series long should give them a nice confidence boost

Love it, would love to see San Jose beat Vancouver...I think we have a better chance against San Jose than the Nucks.

San Jose winning guarantees we don't see Anaheim, St. Louis, or LA in the 2nd round. Ideal

Ugh, want nothing to do with Torres in a playoff series again, but I'd also be happy to avoid all the best teams until round 3.

I think we have an equal chance against both, but a greater chance of dirty hits and dirty games against the Nucks, so I'd much rather see the Sharks. Hopefully Torres won't get out of line.

Forgot about him, but let's be honest, he is really the only guy on their team that would take runs. there are many Canuck guys who seem to love going after Keith, Toews, and Kane. Not to mention, we could play STL who has far more dirty players than San Jose.

The Hawks can't face Anaheim until the WCF no matter what.

Like to see Torres throw his weight around a bit more, but cleanly though. As much as we're not fans of the Nucks the league and us as fans don't need to see any more guys get carted off.

Meh, there's a couple guys in Vancouver I wouldn't mind seeing carted off.

Nah... it's no good to wish serious injury on anybody. Even Burrows and/or Kesler.

Although it'd be interesting to see how nucks fans would react to a Torres-on-Hossa hit if it happened to a Sedin or someone else.

I didn't wish it, I said I wouldn't mind.

Semantics IMO. It should bother any fan to see another player carted off. "Not minding" is almost as bad as wishing

Torres is a dirt bag. Wonderful own goal by him. Couldnt happen to a better player. Doesnt matter though. most likely the Sedins will never take them to the promised land.
