Played on a weak Dinamo team

What's very promising about Indrasis is that he finished 3rd in scoring at that age, despite all the late 20's, early 30's former NHLers, AHL scoring leaders, and 1 younger former hot prospect on the team. Karsums (1st in scoring but only slightly higher in ppg), A. Giroux, Johnson, Daugavins, Schremp, Ivanans, Carle, and Szczechura (2nd in scoring). Almost all these guys had at least a cup of coffee in the NHL, and are on average 6-12 yrs older. At the very least we have another Shirokov on our hands....upside is higher. Why didn't we just outright sign him??

On the subject of Shinkaruk, I'll take the alleged personality issues any day over any on-ice issues (and do coaches give the "c" to locker room cancers?). He is also not even close to being a perimeter player. Incredibly competitive, fearless for his size, and loves to take the puck to the net. As many mentioned, more a Taylor Hall type who might get injured quite often. Worst case scenario this boom or bust pick turns into Brule, but more likely our version of Kane or Parise.

Horvat is a stud. 2nd liner at worst imo (maybe 3rd on a really stacked team) who's offensive downside is 50 points (think Fisher or Ladd) and upside is more like M. Richards, Carter, Kesler, Bergeron, or maybe even Couture.

Cassels played 3rd line all year on his OHL team, and still put up decent stats. Very interested what he does next season with more responsibility/icetime.

Subban is the biggest boom or bust pick the Canucks made this draft. If any small player can make it as a undersized d-man, it's this combo of speed, strength, skill, conditioning, and competitiveness. The odds are stacked against him however unless he grows another 3 inches. Maybe if he doesn't work out as a d-man, this might be the actual sort of guy that would work out as a winger down the line.

Many fans are underrating Ericsson here. His SEL stats suggest he'll be the next Euro goalie to thrive over here. Perhaps a year or two more ready than Lack even (taking into account his lost year).

Definitely would like to see Lees invited. Colby Cave, Greg Betzold, and Michael Webster given a shot.
We better hurry, the Habs already invited a few Q kids....Imagine inviting and signing at least two of those 4?

Betzold and Lees for me would be amazing.

Just got a text, Greg Betzold is going to #Blues Dev camp and Traverse City tourney. Happy for him. Deserved to be drafted IMO.

Not terribly helpful, but Jordan Subban tweeted that he's heading to Vancouver next week, so sometime soon.

Fair enough, that was just how I saw the prospects currently in the system.

I hope we can sign Indrasis. It would make the offseason prospect haul

Horvat, Shinkaruk, Indrasis, Eriksson, Cassels, Subban, Cederholm, Lain, Williamson, Liberati, Sylvester

Are we missing anyone? Apart from Williamson I love that list

Indrasis and Sylvester could be decent pick ups.

This is a bit random in the wake of this weekend's excitement, but how is Labate progressing? He should be in line for a top 6 role at Wisconsin next year, right?

If Indrasis does pan out, that would be an amazing haul. As we have no space for UFAs, it's basically the only way we can really add a scoring winger in the next couple of years.

This goal was scored in the junior league (MHL)
The one he scored in KHL was more impressive IMO
Now he just needs to score a goal like that in NHL

Kind of offtopic, but as a Latvian Bruins fan I'm assuming you followed Karsums when he was in North America? How come he never made it as an NHL'er?

I dont know when he was in the juniors it thought he`d for sure make it in the big league, but something went wrong,i mean hes physical and all that hed be perfect bruin, but coaches didnt trust him,i guess and he gave up,also his size is less than perfect although that was not the biggest issue.

Btw karsums will now play for Moscow Dynamo, which is VERY,VERY similiar to Boston Bruins regarding style of play (btw they are the back to back KHL champions )

About Daniel Rahimi...he was awesome this season in the SEL and team Sweden. If Edler would have stay home, Rahimi would have played WC. He is huge, strong, plays simple, very physical, good hitter, mean, block shoots, fights, decent first pass, good defence. You guys should bring him over again and let him play in AHL. Classic late bloomer.

Is fighting not frowned upon in Europe?

Sorry, but Horvat will be our number one center, and it's not debatable. By far our best center prospect.

Shinkaruk Horvat Kassian
? Gaunce Jensen

Not at all.
There has actually been a change in rules regarding the penalty for fighting. It's down to 2+2+10 since - I think - three years now.
