Eh, he likes to walk the line and as anybody who likes to walk the line, sometimes they cross it. The problem is he turtles way too much and backs away from fights. It is one thing to not want to fight a guy much bigger than you, I don't fault anybody on that. However, turtling against a guy pretty much your size (actually a little smaller if you want to be technical,) after throwing a questionable hit, then laughing about it when the ref finally pulls the other player off you is something I despise in the sport and I will hate anybody who does it.

You seem to have unresolved issues when it comes to the Habs. Did one of them steal your car or something?

I like him. Maybe I would as much if the Oilers played against the Habs more (next year) but he's very exciting.

Always liked him, but initially thought he could be a bit obnoxious sometimes. Now he's practically my favorite player in the league.

If I was a fan of another team that played against him often, I would hate him so much as a player, plus a lot of annoying antics, but if you ever watch his sport game interviews or when he worked for sportsnet during the lockout, so mature, and so much respect for in the game in the sense that he leaves everything on the ice.

IMO some of the issues is that he is simply a fan and loves to play hockey, and he has a lot too much energy, everyone of his little fights with his teammates was because Subban was taking practice too seriously.

What are you talking about? I'm just having conversation and expressing my views on things. But yeah he's a good player and I hope he holds them hostage contractual wise so I could like him again.

Subban is a class act. There's just some players on teams you just can't hate, and Subban is one of them for the Habs.

Pretty much this. Now that he's more "boring" and more focused he's more enjoyable to watch.

And you probably don't even realize that you're providing him with even more ammo to prove his point.

You're funny.

My opinion is he'd be a more effective player if he didn't sandbag entire periods acting like Jarkko Ruutu. Some guys are more effective when they agitate the opponent. Subban just distracts his own team and plays worse.

Never minded him. Every team has or have had a player like him, personality wise. Every team, with maybe the exception of Pitts and Ott, wish they had the offense.

At first I didn't really like him and some of his antics. Even though he is a Hab I have grown to like him though, he seems like he has a great personality off the ice. He would probably be one of my favorite players in the league if he didn't play for the Habs.

Option 4 for me. The guy's a heck of a player but something about him rubs me the wrong way.

That's the thing though, every discussion I've had about PK, you guys invent your own theory on his character flaws to help justify it, but in reality, they are (or were) just that, character flaws. If it's turtling, "oh well PK has nothing to gain by fighting, and the hit wasn't dirty anyway", if it's fighting with teammates "oh he just loves the game and practices harder than anybody else ever in the history of the game".

I'll give credit where credit is due, and have said while I'm still on the fence about him, he has seemingly grown as a player on and off the ice this year, but this making excuses for players is annoying.

Don't really like his antics. Whenever we play the Habs he tries to agitate JT the entire game (I know they are actually buddies) and JT gets pretty pissed off. You don't piss off the JT and not pay for it.

Annoying antics aside, he is a hell of a player that I'd love to have on my blue line.

Fair enough, but such excuses wouldn't be necessary if people didn't just make up character flaws about him. Seriously people call him a locker room cancer - no Habs fans or people that ACTUALLY KNOW, just people who don't like Subban. So if you don't invent flaws, we won't invent theories to justify it.
