This year Iceland League, called Islandsmot Meistaraflokks, counts with four teams: Skautafelag Reykjavikur, Skautafelag Akureyrar, Isknattleiksfelag Björninn and the newcomer Narfan ur Hrisey.
Games are played in two rinks, in Akureyri(Skautahöllin Akureyri) and Reykjavik (Skautahöllin í Laugardal).

This year champion is Skautafélag Akureyrar (photo of triumph )

I've never heard of hockey from Iceland, except from the villainous team wearing black uniforms in "D2: The Mighty Ducks".
