Well I mean that's a start I guess, but really he should just take Brodz's spot.

Who's going to cough up the puck and turn it over then?

I think we need to wait to hear if Pommer travels with the team back to Chicago for tomorrows game 2. He might simply be resting today in order to make himself as ready and healed as possible for tomorrows morning skate.

If he was healthy he'd be skating. Don't expect to see him until October.

Looks like the answer is no.

I seriously don't know why the Wild let PA in the building, he is so rude to the organization.

Like PA or not, I'm just glad that the Wild are getting more coverage. It's great to hear different voices. We're spoiled with Russo being one of the best beat reporters in the league. That doesn't mean the market should just hold back and let only one person cover the team because at times it seemed to be the case last season.

Paul Allen is a moron when it comes to hockey and Common is soooooooo bad...He get's paid to talk about sports on a sports radio station and he knows absolutely nothing about sports. I admit Common Man has his moments when he is funny or whatever but when I actually want to listen to them talk about sports it's a complete joke. I envy Toronto's hockey coverage when I listen to TSN.

The only thing KFAN has going for it is Reid/Kurtz. PA, Common, and Barriero are all horrible for talk-shows. PA is good as a PBP guy though.

Those guys aren't heavy-duty sports analysts though, they're radio entertainers. I like Barreiro more than PA or Common, although his tendency to try and shoehorn everything into his narrative or preconceptions is annoying (yes I realize the irony in me saying that).

I don't have an issue with one show on a sports station being the "anti-sports" show. There is only so much to talk about. People either like Common or they don't -they're trying to entertain.

What I don't like is the fact that 1500 and KFAN have their "anti-sports" shows on at the same time so when news breaks over lunch there are 2 sports stations and no one talks about it.

I just hate the way Common speaks, as if every word that falls out of his mouth is amazing insight into whatever they're talking about.

Having PA (annoying or not) talk about hockey for more than a segment is a good thing. There are more than a few NHL markets, in the US, that almost totally ignore hockey on sports radio. Some of them rather prominent.

Jesus everyone gets pissed that nobody talks hockey in the State of Hockey and then a guy finally tries his absolute hardest (and it's genuine...he's really trying) to bring attention to the team and the game and people rip on him. Just can't make it up. Sure, he doesn't know nearly as much as Russo or Tenna but he's giving it his best shot and shows like today are extremely entertaining and a great inside look at the team.

Common is truly a love or hate type of guy but I gotta say that if you can't find humor in his show then you really do take sports too seriously. It's a necessary reminder that what we talk about every day is a child's game. My favorite show and it's not even close.

Barrerio is admittedly a football and basketball guy but he does his best when it comes to hockey (at least when the Wild are playing important games). Easily the smartest guy on the Fan with some pretty great guests.

I readily admit that PA is extremely rippable for his homerism and other things of that nature but it's so refreshing to finally see one of them put the focus on the Wild.

Paul Allen is so damn entertaining. I really don't understand the hate he gets... It's easily the best show on the fan IMO.

I agree. Sure PA can get annoying but at least he isn't a stiff. I really like the penalty box show. PA may not know a lot about hockey himself (and he really doesn't pretend to) but he usually brings in decent guests (like Russo, Walz, etc) and seems to enjoy player interviews. Just nice to hear hockey on the radio I guess.

This exactly.

Most of these guys know jack squat about hockey.

I don't get the PA hate. He's a great PBP guy and quite possibly the biggest Vikings homer in existence. I really like it.
