We can send them Volchenkov to compensate for the loss of Radulov

I'm sure the KHL will be calling to give that bum a contract pretty soon. I can see him there next year. If not next year then the year after.

Tereshenko scores, and gets on past the blimp. Butler looked like an incompetent hack on that play.

Announcers ripping on Butler for that one.

The question they should be asking is ''How does Booby Butler make it onto a USA national team in a professional tournament?''

After the second period they had a interview with matt hunwick and asked if he was having fun.. and he answered something along the line of "yeah its fun unless you have kovalchuck or radulov coming down 1 on 1"

thought it was rather funny:b

Kovalchuk finally looking a the top of his form, it's been a long time.

Huge sigh of relief.

I'm not watching, but I can only assume Kovy's been playing left wing, as to why he's racking up the points?

I see someone that might finally beat you with his speed and elite skating again. That was his main problem. LW ? why not, don't really care, he was too slow anyway.

Yeah, he's on his natural LW position and looks great, like the scoring Kovy we once had before our staff turned him into Bob Carpenter/John Madden/Sergei Nemchinov.

What a mess that was in front of the USA net.

LOL Nate Thompson. How many more scabs can we get on this team?

This Russian team is just so much better. The defense of the USA is even a joke.

The USA doesn't have a player anywhere near the level of Kovy or Radulov. Stastny is the only one that comes anywhere near.

The USA has Bobby frickin Butler on it's 2nd line.

The Russians also aren't coached by Joe Succo who probably has the lowest winning percentage of any coach in the NHL in the last 3 years.

Kovalchuk just said to Radulov after the goal: Ok, I'm going to make a few phone calls, get ready to pack your bags, you're going with me.

I'm actually agreeing with you on this one.

Seeing this Kovy leaves a bad taste in my mouth over the way he's used on our team.

His lefties on left, righties on right thing irritates the **** out of me. It handcuffs us, and has caused a lot of junk lines that don't belong. Like Matteau-Zajac-Kovy, or Poni-Zajac-Kovy, or other crap I don't even remember anyway.

How many other coaches aside from Oates do this? In all my years of watching the game I haven't noticed many coaches making it a prerequisite to play forwards only on the wing of the hand they shoot with.

It's not bad when you have frickin Zach Parise on your other wing. When you have some scabs or players who have no business being there then it makes no sense.

This was the only line it ever worked for too. If he doesn't change his ways, Kovalchuk isn't going to look sharp consistantly.

I don't think so either. It just handcuffs things though there are some people who act like no player should be on their off wing. Because Jack Adams winning PDB is a genius.
