Is it just me or does Miller look really lethargic in net? His movement seems slow and on some shots he's barely reacting

From what I've seen of Strait since he's come back tells me he's not ready for a regular season game let alone a playoff game. I DO NOT think he should be starting game 1. I would certainly take Martinek before him. Don't get me wrong, before he got hurt I was happy with how he played but not right now.

Hammer-Amac
Hickey-Viz
Streit-Marty/Carkner(Depending on whether we play Boston or Pitt)

Yeah I got that vibe too...like he just didn't care to be playing.

Seriously I'm falling asleep watching this game. I think that period left a lot to be desired

Not sure, people could be just lurking. Not a lot to talk about in these past two games other than that they don't look sharp.

We were a little sloppy at the start last 10 had a better pace. The scrum at the end of the first should start to make the game more interesting. Martin is going to have to deal with Ott dont want him doing anything stupid. Ott wont go near carkner or boulton.

Meh...it's also Friday. A lot of the games the isles have played have been predominantly Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday

How did Boulton get a 10 min misconduct with Scott thought that Carkner and Scott were at it .

Not much tempo from the team that period apart from the checking line. The only reason the Sabres aren't ahead is because of some terrible shooting in close.

Really need to pick it up 2nd period and avoid going into the playoffs as flat as a pancake.

I agree. He doesn't look like he's in shape and his decision making has been questionable.

I personally prefer Carkner over Martinek or Strait right now. I know most people here don't think highly of Carkner but I think he is nowhere as terrible as people on these boards make him out to be. He does his job and is a big body which is always good. All our defensemen are skilled defenseman who do their job with their sticks. Carkner does the job with his body which is always good to have at least one of those on your d-squad

I think they are going to be ok in the playoffs. There hasn't been much energy in any of these games from the players or the crowd. Even in Philly. Isles seem to feed of the energy. Didn't start playing well at home until the crowds showed up. Don't hear a lot of talking out there from either team. Playoff energy will get em going.

CC and 13 have lost their vigour..showing AHL..CC is becoming a turnover machine due to his size and vision
