I see Pavs has now joined the Czechs, and won today 2-1 over Denmark in a shootout.

One area that Pavelec has definitely improved on this year is his SO composure.

No Trouba against France?

Edit: not dressed apparently, day-to-day with a lower body injury.

Well, he'll definitely fit in with our defense Corp.

Unfortunate - hope he is able to get into some more games.

Yes Jacob is showing off for the boys back home......anything you guys can do I can do better

stapler was on the Round table yesterday and taking about how good Jacob is and the word he used was "how confident Jacob is coming out of collage". I think that is a great point most of us haven't touched on and I am suprised I never mentioned it. at the WJC other than his poise and intellagnce Jacob seemed to be the most quitely confident D man in the tourney which is special considering he was a year younger than most of the guys that he was competing against? Tim also was gushing about Gibson saying he has similar confidence and as much talent as he has seen from a young goalie he gets to take shots on.

There's Pavs notorious weak goal after some solid play...

No wonder why Kane tries so many wraparounds... "but it works in practice"

Pavelec weak on his movement Crawford?

I'm just worried that he didn't split his pants on that play. Feel bad for Pavs man. I really do. lulz.

He can split his pants, just as long as he doesn't load them.

Damn, I was kinda hoping the Slovenians would hang for the win. Be a huge win for that country.

Looks like it's going to Slovenia and Austria relegated back to Div 1A. No changes there.

Tommorrow is going to be interesting with Germany playing France basically for the one QF spot and Norway playing Czech Republic for the other. Love to see Norway/France/Germany in QF, with Swizterland winning their div, the hockey landscape is a changing.

Meh it's a nothing win for Canada (they are finishing 2nd in the pool no matter what) and it'd be so huge for Slovenia, a rising hockey country (despite a tiny populace). However Slovenia is already guaranteed to relegated unfortunately.

Yup. Great to see teams like Swizerland doing so well. To be the best, you need to beat the best. Better and improved competition, from more countries, can only improve the game of hockey, globally.

Good to hear they won. I was trying to get a stream of OT but apparently service sucks in this building.
