Why do I have the feeling that Belichick is going to trade Mallett for two mid-round draft picks, use one of them on Matt Barkley, rinse and repeat the process in 3 years?

Collins has been through more in his 21 years then most people will in a lifetime... Very good, BB type pick... Loads of talent...loads of physical skills....will need it all to come on upstairs, but this was a great pick.

Mayock is impressed with the kid at least. "One of the most explosive pass rushers in the draft."

Seems like a kid who'd play rush end opposite Jones. Maybe as an OLB in the 3-4.

We didn't need pass rushing help? Was watching a different team then when other teams decided to forgo the run.

Jamie Collins sounds like the name of someone who would be hosting NESN Sportsdesk.

Just watched his combine tapes, wow I haven't seen many more athletic linebackers before. If he gives us a pass rush idc if I've heard of him before or not.

Real talk, Belichick uses OLBs as half-down half-up hybrids like Ninkovich and Vrabel. They're de facto DL help.

I don't mind the pick but may not have been necessary if cunningham wasn't a bust.

Exactly and who knows, maybe they're planning on just making Nink a full time DE. Would make a lot of sense, like the pick a lot. Maybe Collins can be our Bruce Irvin

I guess as a Pats fan, I am not surprised they traded down again and I get the feeling they won't fill the need for a pass rush.

I'm not happy with the signing of injury prone Amendola when they could have resigned Welker a reliable receiver especially when you need a 1st down. Gronk and Hernandez are also injury prone so they need depth at the receiving corp. Hopefully Dobson is not another Patriot bust at wideout. As a season ticket holder, I'm just not impressed by what they're doing.

For TE they also have Ballard who will be healthy but so far this draft they have

OLB
WR
CB
S

They have 4 more picks. Maybe they can trade the 4th they have this year and/or Demps for another 4th as well as a 5th and 6th. If they don't then with the last 4 picks I would like to see.

WR
DL
OL
OL
