ok so when did Abby go from a decent to slightly above average Grinder to solid top 6 power forward? its like watching 2 completely different players. and I know he's playing with pav and Z but still he looks really good out there

Benn line was pretty dangerous for them, but thought we vastly outplayed them second half of the period.

Nah he's playing well but he's still a 3rd/4th liner.

Great period. They're flying out there. That goal was well deserved. We gotta keep it going here. Minny just scored, 1-0 Wild. Jackets 0-0 after 1.

Was a decent period. Need to curb their chances a bit though.

Avs announcer said that Colorado doesn't even have a shot on goal yet.

A 1 goal lead is technically a 2 goal lead if we only want 1 point

Well, the Oilers didn't need all that many shots...

That is Jimmy Howard banging his posts with his stick.

He does it every game.

Which is why Franzen and Nyquist's line need to win their battles.

Minny score and Bobrovsky seems to be standing on his head. wow. Philly sent the wrong Russian away

We want two. I'd rather take my chances with Anaheim than Chicago.

I'm sure jimmy isn't the only goalie who bangs his stick on the posts. It's all about where NBC decides to place their microphones

If it is him and keeps him focused on the game, he can play a freaking drum solo on the posts I don't care

They mike up the goal, almost all goalies do it, so that is the reason you hear it on NBC so much.

Also a reason why when you watch an NBC game and they hit the pipe on a shot it is always so much clearer.

They spent a lot of time in their own zone that period. However, they kept everything to the outside and covered everyone pretty good. Still being under duress for that much time will lead to a seeing eye goal against.

Fun Fact.

Since Captain Bob pointed out the only goal Zetterberg and Abdelkader had combined for was a single empty netter. they have combined on 100% of the Wings Goals.
