Willsie is a right winger, not a center. He also won't be around until October, when he joins TPS.

One of these 3 players will probably be in Medvescak Zagreb this season.

Because he's under contract with TPS, he's playing in KHL merely for tax reasons.

and he doesn't have an out clause for the khl?

plus, i don't believe that taxes have anything to do with this loan, because there is a 45% tax rate in croatia. or maybe he has a terrible tax advisor

KHL contract has no out clause. The God, how many times do I have to repeat it?

Dont worry about Willsieīs contract with Medvescak (yes, I have info from the club)

medvescak should sign Sakic and Cerovecki for the U20 Team in EBYSL.

the last season was very bad.

It's Finnish taxes. If a player spends under a certain amount of days in the country,, his tax percentage will be lower. This is a common practice over here, some Elitserien player have started the season in Finland and some SM-Liiga players have started the season in Sweden.

There's no reason to go to Zagreb, he's probably one of the highest paid players on the team, if not the league. TPS announced themselves that Willsie will join the team on October 7th.

Edit: he has a 6 month contract with TPS, if he impresses Zagreb, they can try to sign for the 2014-15 season: http://www.suomikiekko.com/2013/07/t...-lisaa-tietoa/

Translation: "according to Zagreb sporting director Aaron Fox, Willsie has a "double deal". He wanted to show his sporting capabilities on KHL level and signed a try-out from August to October. Meanwhile he has a contract with TPS Turku. If he proves to be a player, that we need, we can try to sign him for the 2014-15 season."

This season they will play only in U18 EBEL, so both of them are too old.

If all those Willsie rumors are true, I do hope club managment already looking for his possible replacements.

EDIT: didn't see Vorky's post...

Fox has better things to do, then provide training games and tax benefits for someone elses players.
Willsie wouldn't be the first one to arrange for termination of his brand new contract, in order to play in KHL. That is, if we decide we want him, in the first place.

From what I've understood, he doesn't have a KHL clause. He previously has said to have no interest in playing in the KHL, he had a Swiss clause.

I'm not questioning any of that at all. And I believe he ment what he said, at that point in time.
But it's one thing to be invited to KHL by a coach that you know and recently had a great season with, to live within walking distance from Vienna. And it's a whole new ballgame to ask your wifey how she feels about long vacation somewhere near Siberia.
If you catch my drift.
