Makes sense.

Anyways, that was yet another good period for the Bruins. Do people still want Claude fired, Subban in net, and Lucic traded?

First quarter he came out of the gate sluggish. Since the beginning of February it's been a steady diet over three months of solid all-around play combined with the best scoring touch in the league. In a shortened season everyone's over analyzing games and extrapolating them out to a different degree. They assume were he to have started 10 games at a slow pace, it really means he would have been in a slump in a full season over the course of 18 games.

He's had the best year I've seen him have since his 60 goal season. Then again this season he's been a much more well-rounded player.

i agree he hasnt been good for a big stretch, but i wasnt ready to sell him out like alot of peeps with all he had going on this year, even a long slump, you dont give up on a player like him,i was willing to give him a pass this year, just sayin

Ya, I just don't understand the desperation to win the division unless they're that afraid of the Penguins in rd 2.

I think we would be hard pressed to be able to face the Rags, Ottowa would have to break there tie and win tonight MTL would have to lose tonight already winning aswell, or then we would have to lose in OT/so to Ottowa if MTL holds on

If Ottowa loses NYR is the six seed
If MTL does less than us were the two seed

Then it is if we lose to Ottowa we play them, if we let them get a point we play them, if we beat them in reg we get Islanders

Proud of the Bs not getting in the box much tonight. They are playing a lot more disciplined. Chara's penalty was an ok penalty in my eyes because he knew he was beat.

Yep, Chara has looked downright awful lately. Luckily everyone else has looked pretty good.

Is it just me or do the Caps intercept every single in-air pass?

No, the only people who have discussed that is the hosts of 98.5 and EEI, who are just talking out their butts to get people interested. That's when I just click that channel over Sirius and hear some really hockey talk.

Two periods don't make up for an entire season. He continues this type of play throughout the playoffs, and obviously my opinion of him will be higher. Then again I'm a skeptic. However those do argue that I play favorites. It's not news that Lucic is either hot or cold. I think we all agree that when he's having a game like this, our entire team looks completely different. I'd just like to see it more consistently, though I don't know if that's asking too much. IMO it shouldn't have to be.

Same here. Lucic has shown how he CAN play. He has just had an off season. I had to laugh at some of the folks claiming he doesn't care anymore and needs to be shipped out.

The Bruins are actually a great home team and average road team this year after years of being virtually the same at home and on the road. The extra round of home ice advantage would be crucial.

Several years ago I used to drive up a couple of times a year to DC. The place was usually half empty, and B's fans would take over the place. Once the Caps started winning they got a lot of bandwagon "fans" showing up, but B's fans still turn out in decent numbers there.
