1956 Moscow vs Montreal

Interesting comparison between developmental hockey in 1956. Looking at Moscow and Montreal. Multiple articles. Please scroll to pages 10 and 11 for the actual stories.

Key numbers.

1956 Moscow. 400 organized teams - no distinction between youngsters and adults. 27 first class rinks. No mention of secondary rinks.

1956 Montreal, 1208 organized teams featuring 16, 000 youth players with a support house league system that is not clearly defined or counted supported by 101 open air rinks.
