And he is on my fantasy team and I am not sure whether to be happy or pissed about this.
Also, just traded Bryce Harper for Troy Tulowitzki. What does everybody think?
I'm gonna assume it's roto scoring since most fantasy baseball leagues do roto, but correct if I assume wrong. In a roto league, I think you win the trade, but it's fair for both sides. Tulo's got all the tools and he's the best at his position. Harper's great, but it's not hard to find an OF at a similar performance level.
Well, that fly ball would've been way too shallow to think about sending the runner. But with a runner on third and one out the pitcher would've approached it differently so you can't assume he hits the same ball in the same way. At that point a groundout or flyout likely brings in the run.
I don't like bunting in most cases, but tying/winning run on second with no outs in the 9th is the one case where I want to see a bunt all the time.
Tom Werner's "article" on MLB.com about Shaughnessy was embarrassing to read. All it does is show me how accurate Francona's book was. This team is more concerned with public opinion and perception rather than winning. It's akin to Nero fiddling while Rome burned. This team is crashing down to earth after playing over their heads for a month, and their big concern is that the CHB wrote an article questioning whether an aging player coming of a tendon injury, who missed the last 5 months of playing time and had no spring training yet came out on raking, is on the juice? Rail on jackass. Rail on.
