According to the game summary on NHL.com, Yakupov wasn't on the ice for his 2nd goal

Aw, it just got fixed.

Yakupov finished this season leading the Oilers in goals with 17. Didn't see that coming.

6 games is optimistic for the Canucks IMO. Their starter is hurt and their head case 7uongo just got shelled and embarrassed by his coach and team.

Happy for Yak's hat-trick, but a disappointing win nonetheless. Given Lowe's/Mact's history(2007), they are probably thinking this team can win the division next year with no changes

But it's hard to be unhappy about anything right now. I've heard from some trusted sources -and it's not announced yet- but hearing CBC just finalized a new 24/7 Frank Corrado channel.

Truly a great day for everyone in Canada! Even if the season is ending, we will never have to worry about Frank Corrado coverage ever again.

Yakupov thanks Browny for the fight and thanks the Oilers organization for his year, lol. No, thank you Nail. What a character this kid is. Love him.

Good Game. Glad to see Yak get the hatty, Schultz get 4 pts, Eberle playing well again and Hall for just being awesome but we still suck bad and i hope that MacT doesn't lose sight of the big changes that need to be made because of 2 meaningless wins. Please get these insanely skilled kids some help before their talent is wasted.

Nice to pad some point totals I guess but its a very abstract contest.

If anything ending the season on a couple games like this kind of annoys me because it possibly disguises how much lineup work is required before next season.
It's okay to be happy about winning the last two games. Nobody forgets how badly they played to end up out of the playoffs yet again.

I think MacT is smart enough to understand that there are some very real problems with this team (the d, bottom 6, backup goaltender to name a few).

Are they cutting out after hours for this game?

Why?

Wait, why do we have the Kings game on CBC instead of After Hours?

Because no one on the panel actually watched the Oilers game they've probably all been watching this game and didn't want to miss the end.

Pretty much. The team was 2-8 in the last 10GP with the season on the line.

They failed.

Miserably.

Nothing changes that.

Typical of this team actually to go gangbusters in a nothing game when they can't bring any semblance of game when it counts.

The last couple of games offer an illusion of the team in some turnaround, are probably good for some season ticket retention, but disguises the trainwreck this season was.

Yup those guys sure acted tough behind the refs tonight, Hopefully the Sharks give them a good spanking in the playoffs. I was shaking my head that we got the penalty when Lappy was punching Fistric.

Great game to end the season. At least it gives us some hope for a better outcome next year.

I think it's pretty self evident the problem this year was the vets. I mean seriously horrible bottom six. Its time to replace it, parv can have hemsky's spot.

Thanks goes to Sestito for firing up our team by mocking Yakupov, who is and always will be 100 times more talented. Speaking of sucking, that Kassian is a real gem. Trading that bust Hodgson (only 34 points this season...awful) for Kassian was genius.

if we can make 8 big upgrades to the roster without trading away any of the good players maybe...

that could be tough.
