Thanks for the Monarchs stats . It nice to see that someone wants to play hockey this season.

According to the ECHL website Bakersfield G Yutaka Fukafuji was recalled to Milwaukee (AHL) on Oct 20. Last I heard he wasnt suppose to play for a week because of visa problems so this recall is interest. He was under contract to the Monarchs on a 2 way deal.

Of note: An AHL ruling this week will allow teams to dress 18 skaters per game, one more than the usual 17. The rule will stand as long as the NHL lockout lasts.

I can't find any mention of that at all, either on the Bakersfield site or the Milwaukee site. It doesn't make sense, since as you allude to he is under contract with the Kings. There hasn't been any news from the Kings or the Monarchs on his being released.

Do you have a link to that story?

Rookie goaltender Yutaka Fukufuji is on recall to Manchester, N.H. as he traveled to Canada earlier this week to complete his immigration.

I guess the ECHL website is in error.

right now in the AHL its Manchester and Hartford and everyone else.

but for me the reg. season is not very important if they cant get it done in the playoffs. 3 straight 1st round exits. IF we have this team all season they should contend for the Calder Cup. I dont see any weaknesses at all. awesome group of forwards, very solid on defense, 2 #1 goaltenders, 2 very good special team units.
I see this team being very well represented at the All-Star game in our own building this season.

Just wondering, who is the Monarchs' captain this year? And who are the alternates?

Thanks in advance.

They're at it again. Up 3-0 late in the third period. Garon in net, Cammy and Lehoux with goals.

Will they get 3 straight shutouts?!?!?!?

Don't forget TK's goal in the first.

The Monarchs made it through a Portland 5-on-3 power play. They also failed to capitalize on TWO 5-on-3 opportunities, themselves.

14-secs. left to go.

They failed to shutout Springfield. This would be the third in four games.

Parros Recalled, Welch Loaned To Reading

11.01.2004

MANCHESTER, NH The Manchester Monarchs, the primary affiliate of the Los Angeles Kings, have recalled right wing George Parros from the Reading Royals of the ECHL and loaned right wing Dan Welch to the Royals, Director of Hockey Operations Hubie McDonough announced on Monday.

Relatively minor transaction. Reading really needs some scoring, maybe Welch can help. Parros will likely alternate with Hogeboom....

Really...no offense to George, but I would play Boomer over him in a heartbeat. I could see Parros and Flinn alternating.

Welch is speedy and expect them to use him on all of the special teams as well as on his regular shift. He would be a regular on the Monarchs (AHL) this season if it weren't for the lockout. He's got good hands and is a very, very good penalty killer....
