It's strange, everybody is losing their teeth in that series. Literally. Price, Anderson, and this Pageau guy. Probably missing someone.

Ryan White is grade A ******. Never seen a guy 2hand chop someone on a faceoff like that and NOT get ejected after getting his teeth fed to him by Cowen. All 5 Habs square off, all 5 Habs lose their *****. That was priceless.

Playing teams like this next year is going to suck so hard for the Lightning. There aren't 5 players on our entire team that would do half as well as the Habs did in that donnybrook.
We don't even have a guy like Neil or Prust.

I was just going to sit down and take a break from working and watch a few minutes of this game but I was glued to my TV for the whole thing. Such entertainment! Every time they showed the benches with those 5 lonely guys sitting there -

Same here Just couldn't stop watching because I wanted to see how MacLean would troll the Habs next. He is one of my favorite coaches for sure

The quacks from Southern California are getting some help here from the league office. My conspiracy side says the league would love a team such as the Ducks, from the second-largest media market in America, to have a deep run in the playoffs.

The NHL's mindless cronies loved watching the Los Angeles Kings win it last year. The Red Wings — like most teams from Detroit — get no national media love or attention from the NHL. Bettman is hooked on the big markets. He thinks his sport should be on the same level as the NFL and Major League Baseball in the U.S. He is so wrong.

The thing is that I think he'll tap a nerve with a lot of fans. From modding the playoff board, I've seen a metric **** ton of posts that spell out that the league wants to slot where teams end up.

The media otherwise isn't reacting to that rather strong accusation, but instead to the safe one, that the Red Wings get no love from the NHL. Compared to Pittsburgh? Who doesn't? but Detroit has been east coast fans gateway to the west. That's the way that we've seen the Kings, Canucks, or Avalanche (when they were good) at a reasonable hour.

I think it's admirable that Honey Badger didn't dive.

He goes down to the ice and sells it a bit, some Habs get suspended.

Still, props to him. Love that little dude.

Hey he used to be on this team.

I think I've said it before, but I've met Pierre before. I really don't mind him so much, but he is kind of creepy. I think that adds to him though. My friend refers to him as a penis with glasses.

What a way to go, too. Iffy penalty and then the bad rebound just laying in the crease. Heartbreaker.

Some of the calls in that series were brutal, the penalty to end it really took the cake. A clean hockey hit where a player lands awkwardly into the boards is a penalty?? Also, Sharks were diving all series, you could say they learned from the Canucks of years past.

Thanks for Conacher, Bolts fans! He scored an improbable game-tying goal in a comeback win for the Sens. He was under a bit of pressure to atone for mistakes earlier in the game, and Paul MacLean threw him on the ice late in the 3rd. He took advantage, burying a loose puck from an Alfie centering feed.

He took a lot of punishment in the 3rd game of this series, receiving two elbows to the head and being ambushed in a fight. He's definitely 100% honey badger.

Glad he's doing well up there but not looking forward to playing against him next year. He's definitely the kinda guy that gets under your skin really easily.

Hopefully the trade works out just as well for us too

Yes...? Boarding?

Anyway, I was thinking last night... The last three years, the team that has beaten Vancouver in a series has gone on to win the cup. Hawks, Bruins, Kings. Sharks now?

This would be the year for them as there's basically no expectation.

Makes sense, sharks are attracted to silver. So, the Canucks are basically the Colts of the NFL a few years back?
