Ouch. Hjalmarsson's shot block brings back painful memories of Wheeler's blocked shot.

Chara pretty sloppy today. He's a giveway machine. He's like Buff, but lost a step offensively it seems.

It's known as "innovation".

Loosely, it means, "You keep doing that, and I'll deflower your nether regions with an old-stlye 32".

Interesting idea, but probably better utilized in other sports. Racing?

This is a great game btw. Thought for sure the Pens would have won it after they dominated the better part of regulation, but things have been pretty even in the OT periods.

Interesting watching the Pens battle tonight finally but going down 3-0 to Boston makes you realize this is still a team game and Boston has a great team......so balanced.

Pens threw everything at the Bruins and outplayed them for the most part. Tuuka was the difference, what an unreal performance.

Can't imagine Pittsburgh bouncing back after that.

Rask was very, very good.

When the Pens were on the pp in OT, they would have scored 3 times on the Jets pk, maybe on the same pp.

No way Pavy makes some of those saves, IMO.

Yea Tuuku was out of his skull good.

When you watch Chara play over an extended set of games in the playoffs and see how good he is defensively it makes one wonder how he doesn't win the Norris every year. Is it actually the press who votes on those awards?

That was a great game! I'm starting to suffer a bit from PFS here in the Eastern Time Zone because I can't turn any of the games off and go to bed. I guess I can't complain with GermanJetsFan around though!

That "Crosby Cam" was quite possibly one of the dumbest things I've ever seen in a Hockey game.

Turns out Campbell broke his leg blocking Chara's shot on the PK in the 2nd. He got up and tried to PK for another minute or so before the puck cleared and he could scramble off the ice.

Pretty manly stuff.

This. Seriously, what in the hell was that?

I can just picture the production meeting:

CBC Dude #1: "You know, I feel like our broadcasts in the Penguins-Bruins series are missing something..."

CBC Dude #2: "Like what? Intelligent comments from Glenn Healy?"

#1: "No. It's...yeah...yeah! That's what it is! We don't focus on Sidney Crosby enough!"

#2: "You're right! My calculations show only 89.4% of our Game 2 broadcast was dedicated to talking about him, compared to NBC's 94.5%"

#1: "I knew it, it's that damn McGuire..."

#2: "I've got it! Crosby Cam!

#1: "That's pure genius. We can really capture the target demographic of people with 20" standard definition TVs that can't already see Crosby by simply paying attention to the game! You're worth every penny of that 100K taxpayer-funded salary, my good man..."

Laid out to block his own teammates shot? Now that's commitment to shot blocking.

Gets my vote for one of the most entertaining playoff games of the year. This and the Leafs meltdown in game 7. Bruins' run has been full of mini-stories. Hoping for a Hawks-Bruins final.

Completely agree.

Let's focus and watch Crosby just standing by the net, on his dedicated picture-in-picture box, doing nothing as Pitt moves the puck around on the pp.

Now if its after a goal is scored and its part of a replay - where they show what the goal scorer did to get open and score the goal, fine.

But, showing a player that's not really involved in the play, is just odd. Its like focusing on a rb in football with an iso-cam, when its an option play and he doesn't get the ball, its just distracting and pointless.

I thought the same thing. Super annoying. It was the Telus Breakaway Cam. There was a quick ad shown. Apparently fans could vote online which player would be shown on it.

They would have probably shown Sid anyway no matter who won the vote.

Two comments on LA Staples Centre:

1. that anthem singer was just awesome. Took the moment and rocked it.

2. that 'go kings go' cartoon voice is just terrible.
