Dustin Penner is a master at not actually being that good, but scoring critical goals at critical moments.....and then cashing in on a contract year!!

His strengths are that nobody is funnier on twitter (apparently) and his fat ass shows up during the playoffs once in a while and it somehow gets the otherwise waist of skin overpaid.

Chicago put on a puck possesion forecheck pressure clinic in the 3rd period last night and it looks like they will move on now.

LA has been a really good team in the playoffs but it would have been impossible to duplicate that run from last year when the entire team was playing out of their minds together for two months. I think many of the players have been just as good Quick, Doughty, Voynov (insane), Carter.....but for whatever reason two of my favorite King, players Brown and Kopi, have struggled with the "finishing" side of their games especially compared to last year when they were both in the Conn Smthye running. it's not over yet but Chicago appears to be the hungrier team this year.

Barring some miraculous comeback by the Pens or Kings, its looking like a Chicago - Bruins final. This should be exciting: two very different teams. Add to that: no Eastern team has played a Western team this year - this definitely adds to the intrigue.

Looking forward to the last few games of the conference finals, and the SCF!

Yea no matter how this rolled out in the semis we were getting a marquee match up in the finals which is nice. semis have been a bit of a let down.....Pittsburgh getting totally blown out at home in the first two games was a major dissapointment. Chicago LA has been good to watch but it doesn't look like we are getting 7 games at this point although I will keep my finfpgers crossed.

Let's hope for the mother of all finals

Agree with ya, PS. One of the things I was excited about was the final 4 teams here are damn good ones, so no matter what the Finals ended up being, it's likely gunna be a good one.

It has been a bit disappointing to see Pittsburgh fall so flat and go off the rails in terms of what makes them successful, but... it is what it is. And ya, I don't think the Kings will come back BUT I still can't count those boys out. They've got Stanley Cup blood running through their veins from just 12 months ago, they can do anything at this point --- even still.

Can't wait for the Stanley Cup Finals, though, I think it's gonna be a treat to watch.

ODUYA WANT A CUP, CHICAGO?

As a part-time Habs fan, really wish Pittsburgh didn't **** the bed but I'll be happy to cheer the Hawks on.

My wife is getting tired of playoff hockey I think. Every time an announcer used to say, "Oduya," she would always sing, "Oh do ya do ya want my love?" Now when they say it, not a peep from her. I kind of miss it...

If we'd known about this sooner we could have all gone on the CBC website and stuffed the ballot box for Tanner Glass.

It's going to be interesting to see the fallout in Pittsburgh. Bylsma getting the pink slip is the most obvious move upcoming.

There were several Penguins that were dreadful in this series, but was there anyone more utterly ineffective than Jarome Iginla? Yikes. His spurning of Boston was a blessing in disguise from the looks of it.

Pens are going to have to make some changes. I know they made it to the Conference Finals, but getting swept like that when you actually had a healthy Crosby and Malkin, something has got to change. You know that team expects more.

they really need to rethink how they've built their back end

pouliot and maatta can't develop fast enough

Yep. And they need to desperately find someone to cover up Letang's boneheaded plays. They could also use an actual PPQB on the back end. Letang is terrible at running the point for his talent level.

Pens came all the way to the Eastern Conference Finals four-nothing.

Ba da cha.
