Luca Sbisa to NYI

What would it take for the Islanders to acquire Luca Sbisa?

Our 1st rounder is in play, but I would rather trade picks/prospects for him. Murray and Snow seem to have a very good relationship, so I think a deal for one of their defenseman can be made?

Sbisa and NYI 2nd in 2013 for NYI 1st in 2013 and Johan Sundstrom?

How realistic is Nino?

Honestly I do not want to trade Sbisa but I am in the minority.

Doesn't Sbisa have the same agent as Nino? Snow is going to love keeping that dude over the coals even more.

I've always like Sbisa myself.

Nino would be a hard pill to swallow, but it also seems like an unfair trade value wise.

Yeah, Nino has little value if he's not in a package IMO. I don't want to trade him unless it's with a 1st for a major impact player. I like Sbisa, but he's not the high end guy we can get for a Nino + 1st package.

First rounders isn't what the Ducks would be looking for right now. If we're trading Sbisa (which is definitely possible) we'd likely package him with a prospect for a impact player. That's just how I see it.

As a Ducks fan, I would trade Sbisa and a pick to get your 1st. However, I would rather not give up the 2nd to obtain Sundstrom.

I would prefer to see something closer to Sbisa and a 3rd/4th in 2013 for the 1st.

That's very similar to the Eminger to Philadelphia trade back when Eminger had potential. I accept that trade

Sbisa + for Bailey? Or has his play this year justified a spot in your top 6 permanently?

As a flyers fan who really liked Sbisa when we had him for a brief amount of time...is he really worth a 1st?

Bailey was injured at the start of the season and missed time. His strong play once he got going probably cemented his spot for next year, but I wouldn't say he's a permanent member of the top-6. He still has a lot to prove, but he should be given the chance to build upon his play this year. Playing on Tavares' line... Bails could have a breakout season. I doubt he's available.

As a NYI fan, I appreciate Bailey's versatility. He can play any forward position, and compliments either scoring or defensive lines, can play on the PP and the PK. I want more players like Bailey, not less. It's the one dimensional players like Boyes, Moulson, Reasoner, etc. that we need to eliminate.

At this point in his development, unfortunately, Nino is closer to the one-dimensional description than the versatile description. Honestly, unless his game made a huge improvement, I don't see him making the team over much more versatile rookies Nelson (who most Isles fans believe is a sure thing to make the team) and Strome.

Honestly, a LD defensive defensemen isn't exactly what I'm looking for if I'm the Islanders either.

Never mind, misread.

I wouldn't add Sbisa to the 2nd to get a 1st and a prospect. We need roster players. Sundstrom isn't providing us anything that we don't already have.

If you think Nino has little value you'd be dead wrong

By himself? He's not worth much. He won't get anything in a one-for-one trade except a struggling young player.

Whhhhhhhhat???? Nino is still 20 years old. TWENTY. He's almost a full year younger than Brock Nelson.

You can't be giving up on 20 year old top-5 picks. Especially not based on the numbers they put up as a 19 year old 4th liner.

nino has a bad attitude since he didn't make the Isles roster.
