Someone brought it up in this thread, I'm bringing it up in this thread.

"Price has pressure" .... WHO CARES??? If you don't want the pressure, don't become a pro-athlete! All athletes from all nationalities, from all sports, from all types (pro, junior, independent, etc..) have pressure. Some thrive, some get crushed under pressure.

Some players are "big game playas". Others are not.

NO MORE EXCUSES! PLAYOFF TIME, STEP UP!

If price wins a cup like quick and then does a **** play, i'll forgive him but he hasn't proven **** yet.

Just came back from work. Man, feels good to watch hockey playoffs.
Feels good as hell. I'm really happy we're back this year. I can't believe there are still Leafs fans.

He's still your mom's favourite player.

Try to imagine a decade without the playoffs AND giving away your best prospects the whole time.

Think about it.

Or maybe I am right and we could find someone more consistent plus the return we would get for Price.

At that point it's more a question of the evaluation you make of the player. And chances are I'm wrong because I'm not an expert. But if I'm right...

So what?

I mean seriously dude... so what? If Pekke Rinne or Lundqvist did this it's okay to flip out on them too? That's just stupid.

The guy kept them in the game. He is at fault for the goal, not at fault for losing the game. But people don't seem to understand this... And saying that he won a cup so it's different is asinine.

That's what I was doing. I mean, giving away McDonagh was awful. But giving away Seguin + Hamilton for Kessel was stupid. Kessel IS a great player, but no way in 2009 he was worth two 1st round picks.

It's like giving Galchenyuk + Tinordi for Kessel. Or almost.
No thanks bro.

Don't forget they gave away Rask for nothing too. And the two picks they gave away to San Jose were leveraged for Logan Couture...

That's Islanders/Milbury bad.

And one of those picks that was leveraged for Logan Couture became Lars Eller.

Which is kind of foolish..
Was Price supposed to earn us a cup win?? Do you remember the teams he had in front of him?

It's not up to him to start and finish the job. Some people just expect too much.
Any goalie that makes remarkable saves all game, that keeps his team in the game despite being dominated, accomplished his job.

I said it's less bad a lost like that from Price than a lost where his team his dominating or at least playing on par with the other team.

I would have been harsh on Price but not that harsh because I ubderstand the fact that the Kings were dominated.

But, with the assesment I have from Price, I have to say that it's the kind of thing that I expect from him and I probably would have pointed that out.

It's all a question of perception. I understand your point of view I just try to make you see it like I do.

Is it just me or are the Ducks being very individualistic. A few times during their PP, they'd be good at building a set up only to end up not shooting. Then on 5 on 5, they just don't seem to be looking at their linemates for a pass. Very little patience...

I'm assuming that's part of Boudreau's "system", since the Caps were the same way under him.

I'm not asking for a cup win. I'm asking for consistency and for more then one out of five year of elite play.

This is the out of town thread, not the Carey Price thread by the way.

Yea. I just remembered he's their coach. That may be it.

The Wings on the other hand seem to be looking to set themselves up each time. Getting close a few times.

I remember when we used to play to score on the rush or dump and chase. /shudder

I know I'll stop sorry, was just taken in the heat of the moment.

Hope the wings beat the Ducks and it's a good game so far.

Holy crap I forgot about Rask but you're right man.
"Before playing a single regular season game for Toronto he was traded to the Boston Bruins for former Calder Trophy winning goaltender Andrew Raycroft."

I remember Raycroft as a good goaltender for the Bruins during his first two seasons. It seems the Bruins knew he was going to be a bust or something like that.

I should ask Leafs fans how great is Justin Pogge.
