Edmonton has Anaheim's 2nd.. and I'd be a little disappointed if they passed on Bailey available in the 2nd.

Dallas isn't taking another goaltender anywhere in this draft.

Would be upset if we don't get Bowey, but I like the rest of it.

no way the jackets pass up on erne or lazar with that 3rd pick, especially not for another Dman. I like the 2nd rd pick though, unless petan is there. In that case snag that kid.

I'd be very upset if the Sharks took 3 defenders with their first 4 picks.

I like Theodore a lot and thing he'll be a mid-first rounder, but I highly doubt that the Sharks will be the ones to take him. They'll go for Burakovsky, Lazar, Erne, Klimchuk, Dauphin, etc. before taking Theodore. Likewise, they won't take Roy or Thompson. I actually don't even like either of those two at all, so that's an issue. I'd take Poirier or Dano at 50, and I like Fiztgerald at 60.

Would like tampa to take nichushkin at that spot we don't have a lot of depth at rw compared to center.

Can't see erne going as low as 25th cbj will pick him up at 14 or 19 but i doubt he falls to 19 and i hate taking mueller in the 1st especially for a team with such good d as cbj.

Nastasiuk is awful high there but i could see it, petan is kind of low but i could see it too

dickinson and lekhonen are pretty low compared to where i see them

and call me crazy but i think ana will take jarry > sorenson

I don't see Erne being taken with Columbus' first pick. I would not make that move. I am all over it with the second pick.

I like Bailey quite a bit but I can see us going for de la Rose, he plays the kind of game we need.

Florida won't take Drouin ahead of MacKinnon. Also, Nichuskin won't fall that much, and Fucale isn't top 10 other than that, looks decent. I like you having Subban to MTL in round 2, I think that will happen too.

That's gotta be incredibly tough to pass on Morissey and Hagg for Calgary but I'm a fan of Lazar and I love our 1st and 3rd picks in this one

Vancouver would take Lazer if he was still available. We need more depth up front then on D, especially with Tanev and Corrado panning out so well.

Really like your picks for Calgary!

Lindholm, Lazar, McCoshen. Really wish we had our 2nd (MTL) to add Dauphin

Florida needs a #1 center. Not very likely they pass on MacKinnon if he's there.

Coyotes don't need defensemen and GMDM doesn't like Russians, so a double no for Zadorov. Domi/Wennberg/(if you like him, which I do) Lazar at 12.

I do like Petan in the second though.

Winnipeg would not take a RHD in round 1, there are too many in the system including Trouba and Bogosian, with forward being a bigger concern. At that spot in the draft, taking Wennberg or Domi makes a bit more sense at that spot.

To echo OOEEL's point look back at the Coyotes drafts since 2000 and you see why Maloney will not select a Russian player:

2000 -- Alexander Tatarinov (2nd round) from 1998 to today, he's played his entire career in Russia; Igor Samoilov (7th round) never left Russia and played 2 seasons through 2006 before leaving hockey after the 05-06 seasons.
2003 -- Dimitri Pestunov (3rd round) never left Russia. Is playing his 12th season there. 2004 2004 -- Enver Lisin (2nd round) played 135 NHL games for the Coyotes and Rangers before heading back to Russia. In those NHL games he was a combined -37, and scored 24g and 18a in those games.
2005 -- Anton Krysanov (5th), has never played in the US. He still plays in the KHL
2007 -- Maxim Goncharov (5th), is in the AHL but has been disappointing, never having played in the NHL. They may not qualify him summer when he is an RFA..
2008 -- Viktor Tikhonov (1st) is the classic case of why the Coyotes got fed up. Drafted in the 1st round, played full-time in the NHL his rookie season, and hasn't seen the NHL since. He's finishing his 3rd full season there.

Yeah, they were horrible in judging talent. And when they seemed to get three good ones in Lisin, Tikhonov and Goncharov, all bombed and two of them took their games back to Russia. Goncharov likely headed there, too.
Sorry this is so long but wanted to give everyone an idea why Russian players aren't on the Coyotes radar. It's just too risky.

Petan is a solid pick at #42. He's a great fit for a Tippett-coached team. He's a goal scorer and playmaker, responsible on the back end, and is solid on the forecheck. If he just wasn't such a ****ing shrimp. By taking Domi or Wennberg at #12 and Petan at #42 the Coyotes fill two huge needs at forward with guys who figure to be very good NHL players.

Now I don't know about all those players, but Zadorov is already playing in North America, for the London Knights of the OHL. So, you don't have to be AS worried about the infamous "Russian factor." Haha.

I would be really mad if Vancouver passed over both Lazar and Morrissey for Mirco Mueller.

Why? Yes, NJ need offense in the worst way. The only two offensively excellent players left at that spot are Shinkaruk and Domi, however. In the later rounds the players who are offensively good are a dime a dozen. Fucale is heads and shoulders above the other goalies, and could be as good as Brodeur. Plus he'll get the kind of mentoring that coaches dream of next to Marty. And he is a top 10 talent.

So I won't be mad if they take him.

Gauthier is a great pick for the Leafs. I can't see us passing on Marco Dano, if available in the 2nd, however. His tenacious game, and endless motor fits our style perfectly.

Why would you highly doubt that? Current head scout Dave Morrison has shown that he's goes BPA regardless of organizational strengths and weaknesses.
