I can see the Sedins signing contracts in Anaheim as UFA's. By then Selanne and Koivu are retired and the Sedins can settle in as effective second line players.

As much as I dislike scoreless games, I can't complain with some overtime action.

Caps dominated that OT Rangers goalie was keeping them in it

It seems like there hasn't been as much OT this year. Might be wrong it is still early in the post season

This was the 5th OT game. East has been too wide open for OT.

Also I'm getting really sick of that delay of game call.

Good for the Caps. Rick Nash is teh suX0rz. Or maybe the curseX0rz. That was a bad trade by Slats IMO. They had such a solid, deep team. Which was the last team that had a supposedly elite winger as their centerpiece to lead their club to a championship? Zetterberg maybe? He's a C/LW hybrid though. Came under the tutelage of some of the greats as well. Who knows.

If Toronto wins it could be very interesting tied going back to Toronto but if they lose well it'll be very tough to come back

I don't really like Toronto but I don't really like Boston so ya I'd be good with a game 7

The 4/5 teams in the west would obliterate the Bruins or Leafs.. these guys turn the puck over more than the Oilers.

I used to think the Oilers were bad on 2-on-1s.

The Leafs are even worse.

The west is so much stronger than the east. I'm amazed anybody disputes it.

I said in another thread. The way the 2 conferences play stylistically, it's why you have "weak to average" teams qualifying all the time in the East. All it takes is a bit more "physicality" relative to your opponent and BOOM, you're in.

In the West, it's a real war of attrition...who ever can survive the playoff grind, old school style

How do give up defensive gaffs like Boston has in the playoffs. The JVR goal he was only in front with plenty of time.

Doubt there's ever been more pressure on a goaltender than Quick. Can't give up anything or his team loses.

This is subjective.

Bruins and Leafs are playing an emotional series, which is why it's damn exciting. They're leaving everything on the ice, and that's why it looks wild. Two original six teams, and they're giving it their all. Of course it's not going to be the 'neatest' hockey.

The series' in the East are far better than the ones in the West. 12 teams in the East had either a winning record or .500 record against the West last year. The same for the West.

This is silly.

Teams that make the least mistakes in the playoffs and can play all round "neat" hockey win.

As other posters have suggested the only reason that teams like the Leafs had any success was due to having some physicality in the lineup. But even at that the Leafs were nosediving as the season progressed and for the Bruins to be having problems with this club that doesn't know anything about playoff hockey is laughable. STL, LA, SJ, Chi, Det, would be schooling the leafs.

Why you even mention "original six" teams in your post to validate your position is curious. It wouldn't matter one iota of difference on the ice that the teams are original six. Even at that the Leafs and Bruins didn't have any particular rivalry.
