Dreger saying that it is looking like Patrick Roy may be the next coach of the Avs. If the Avs are even .500 after October, expect a Gleason column about how Buffalo should've hired him.

You expect him to wait that long?

I would expect it right after Roy gets hired. Then further pound his point home all year long.

Matt Cooke gets away with one. Are the refs blind?

And the Sens gonna need a shorty to force OT...too bad they aren't playing the Sabres.

The NHL is such a garbage league. All the crap that's gone on in this game uncalled. Including Cooke slashing Karlsson in the face now they call a slash on Karlsson and only because his own stick broke.

It's ridiculous.

I was all like "wtf are they doing, they gotta get Anderson out"...and then they get that goal right after the extra skater gets on the ice.

Great plan to just trap the neutral zone and dump the puck with a one goal lead. Works every time!

In before someone suggests Grigorenko and #8 for #1

First double OT of the playoffs.
I feel like OTs have been getting shorter in recent years. I used to remember more double and triple OTs.

I had the same thought the other night. I remember a whole bunch of doubles and triples in the past. For some reason the year the Ducks won the Cup stands out in my head as a time of some epic OT playoff hockey.

2003 actually stands out in my mind as some killer multiple OT games, especially the ones Giguere was involved in.

In other news, good for Alfie. 40 years old and still killing it for the Sens.

That might be the year I'm thinking of. The Ducks made the finals but didn't win that year, right? For some reason I just remember being in college, late nights, and the Ducks being involved. 2003 would be right in there.

I haaaaaaaaaaate hate hate the Sens, but this group of youngsters is decently fun to root for. And I want some close series' here. Hoping NYR wins the two at MSG for many reasons

Yeah, I hate the Sens too, but they do have a likable team (outside of Neil). That's the kind of turn around I hope the Sabres can have in a couple years.

NYR is the one team I would like to see lose badly and thoroughly. I like most teams in the playoffs and would root for competitive series with that exception.

That one never entered my mind, but I'd be lying if I said I wasn't contemplating deals around Grigorenko and ROR, depending on what we do in this draft.

Dumb question. This is the Stanley Cup Playoffs, no? Why is there a serious lack of Nickelback!?

Detroit loses the Mule and gets scored on by Kane on the same play, unfortunate.

Edit: Looks like he went right to the bench, actually. He was down on the ice for a while, though.

Edit 2: That's a bad disallowed goal call on the ice against the Blackhawks
